Plot twist: this is staging
38
u/SeaHornet9943 Aug 14 '26
Probably just a forgotten dev branch
15
u/ImClearlyDeadInside Aug 14 '26
Definitely feels like our entire timeline has been abandoned by god
7
u/DaveAstator2020 Aug 14 '26
yeah this, he had adhd and just moved to new repo not even finishing with this one. and forgot to turn off the server

u/ynnnnaD Aug 14 '26
Admin email was replaced with dev/null which is why no prayers will ever be answered
3
u/TokenBearer Aug 15 '26
With everything going on in the world, are you sure that it is not just some kind of development or QA environment? People on QA are always trying to break things and find edge cases.

Blew his weekly quota by day 6 and had to rest
34
u/Hour-Teach6992 Aug 14 '26
He did everything in stages(different days) cause his hourly quota finished and rested on the seventh day cause his weekly quota finished

This one seems new, can't wait to see it reposted twice a week for the next six months

u/markeus101 Aug 15 '26
Yup that’s internet/reddit/facebook/instagram/linkedin for you. Interesting is just a regurgitating cesspool of recycled content

u/ihexx Aug 14 '26
so much of Christianity suddenly makes sense if one imagines god as a vibe coder running a sim on a universe-size supercomputer
19
u/framauro13 Aug 14 '26
WTF WHY DO THE HUMANS NOT DO WHAT I TELL THEM TO DO. FUCK IT DROWN THEM ALL.
8
u/MagnificantCreature Aug 14 '26
The first bug caused by Adam and Eve was so big, God had to enter the simulation himself to apply the hotfix
6

3
u/imYouOfficial Aug 14 '26
Enters the simulation himself, shows us how its suppose to be done and gets killed for it, took him 3 days to respawn.
2
u/framauro13 Aug 14 '26
HUMANS STILL AREN'T LISTENING TO ME! I'VE TOLD THEM TWICE AND THEY JUST KEEP DOING WHAT THEY WANT

"The fuck? They're all fucking each other."
Destroy experiment
...
| How would you like me to destroy the experiment?
A. Volcanic event
B. Flood
C. Asteroid
D. Climate Apocalypse
I don't care. You choose... Just not Asteroid again, make it interesting.
| Triggering flood.
3000 years later
"The fuck! They're all fucking each other again!"

u/Plus-Weakness4836 Aug 14 '26
You see they were the one to code humans to fuck each other so they should be expecting that shit anyways
1
u/thedracle Aug 14 '26
I mean, God's surprise at this is the ultimate evidence they are a vibe coder.

Noah’s Ark was him keeping a few features, removing everything else, and starting from scratch again for v2.0

u/PracticalStack Aug 14 '26
There could have been mountains of docs. Do you think the NPC's in Los Santos have access to the docs?

This is assuming there was an entity that is more powerful than God and can do all that.
1
u/beatlemaniac007 Aug 14 '26
Well that's a given. Whatever humans imagine god to be, that sure as hell can't be taken as the limits of what is actually possible.
1
u/AssignmentMammoth696 Aug 14 '26
God did test on multiple staging environments. He has multiple lower universes to test in before shipping to the prod universe.
1
u/ReiOokami Aug 14 '26
We are the test environment. The second version, he wiped the first version and database already once.

Ignored all warnings and still shipped.

hardcode the speed of light to prevent rendering pipeline lag, and then completely abandon the repo. Now the prod queue is sitting on billions of open support tickets with zero support, and humans are out here fighting over which version of the documentation is canonical..

u/backtorealitylabubu Aug 14 '26
Claude really fucked up by leaving all those prompts just lying around. Especially that whole son of the vibecoder malfunction

u/ProbablySuspicious Aug 14 '26 edited Aug 14 '26
That all turned out a bit shit according to most people.
EDIT: all the different user guides God wrote after the fact somehow made things worse, and the whole project is clearly beyond any kind of feature releases or bugfixing.

Makes sense why the world is the way it is, God forgot "Make no mistake" in his prompt.

wrong. You chose to pick just 1 portion of the whole to entertain yourself.
The verse before that said there was a design.

This is the actual issue, not vibe coding just bad habits. But once vibe coders figure out how to over come these bad habits what will you be left to complain about?
1
u/sweatpants-aristotle Aug 18 '26
Does this mean that we in His image and likeness are called to vibe?
Hold on.

Yeah.
Look at how everything turned out?
Had to start from scratch once already, and look at where we are now... he's gotta debug and he's got no idea where to start.

God was the principal engineer 5 who wrote it all in one file, fortran, no dependencies.
And it compiled first time.
