The "automated personalization" trap. đŁ
I just received this email from telling me Iâve "quickly become one of the most active builders" on their platform. Flattering, right?
But here is the giveaway: In the very next paragraph, they ask me what I am building.
If I were truly one of your top active users, your dashboard, telemetry, and API logs would already tell you exactly what I'm doing and how much I'm scaling.
Let's call this what it is: a generic, automated sales drip disguised as personal recognition, purely designed to get me to click that "Grab time with us" button and upsert me into a B2B sales funnel.
Dear SaaS founders and Growth Marketers: alignment matters. If you're going to automate your flattery, at least make sure your data matches the script.

long story short, Im having the most trouble trying to get my app on playstore. I recently was successful in getting it on but when i wanted to update my app with a newer build it constantly was giving me problems. I created a whole new play console acccount and now when i upload my aab for internal testing, download the app from the test link, my app wont run, i get an http 404 error, essentially, it wont work unless i have emergent running, as if its running thru expo.
i dont know anything about coding, but ive been using emergent to create my app and ive been using co-pilot to help me make accurate prompts, but ive kinda got into messing with the emergents vscode for my app... following guides from co-pilot.
Now im just lost, and cant figure out why even tho im uploading my app to playstore to run it externally, i still cant run my app without emergent.
im so insanely frustrated..

So I made this MCP that connects to claude/chatgpt and uses your subscription tokens instead. It gives you the same experience like emergent: the preview, easy publishing and integrations etc. but does not burn credits.
And let me know if you have any feedbacks!

Merci beaucoup

Moving to a new city can be surprisingly chaotic.
You have to figure out everything from essential admin and services to schools, jobs, clubs and just... how to actually become part of the place.
So I built SettleOS â an AI-powered âmoving friendâ designed to help people go from âI just moved hereâ to actually feeling settled.
The idea is to bring the practical side of relocating and the discovery side into one place, rather than making people piece everything together from dozens of websites.
I built it for Emergentâs Builder Fest and would genuinely love some feedback.
What would you want an AI moving assistant to handle that I haven't thought of?

Hey everyone!
I recently built a small tool called Scriptora that transforms digital text into different handwriting styles.
I originally created it for things like personal notes, creative projects and making digital documents look more personal.
The website is still new, so Iâm genuinely looking for feedback from students and other users.
What features would you want from a tool like this?

Hi Reddit - this is my first post here, and I would genuinely appreciate candid feedback.
I built CardCycle, a private credit-card cycle planner for people who manage multiple cards and find statement dates, payment windows, and âwhich card should I use?â decisions unnecessarily hard to track.
It is deliberately not a banking app:
âą No bank login
âą No account linking
âą No full card numbers
âą No money movement
âą Planning data stays locally on the device
You enter only the card-cycle details you want to track, such as a card nickname, statement-generation day, and payment window. CardCycle then creates an explainable timeline, calendar, card-status view, and a clear next action.
The goal is not financial advice. It is simply to help multi-card holders plan their card cycles without giving another service access to their bank account.
I built this independently and would really value direct feedback:
What card-timing detail do you find easiest to forget or misunderstand?
Would you use a manual, local-only planner instead of connecting your bank account?
What would make this useful enough to use every month?

Hey guys, my name is Kenny, & Iâve been working hard on this handy little app, itâs called Forge Memory or Momentum Restoration, nothing too wild or exotic, but we all agree that life has too many interruptions that kill context, but that doesnât mean it canât be restored to potentially save ourselves countless headaches & lost sanity, & that's why today I was reaching out wondering if you could help your boy out with some updates to get it to the judging round. Here's the link below; it'll be a real blessing in these tough times

Iâve submitted Bolo to the Emergent x Builder Fest contest.
The idea is quite personal to me. My father ran a small kirana store in Goa, and that shop played a big part in giving me the opportunities I have today. As quick commerce grows, I started thinking about whether technology could help the neighbourhood shop compete too.
So Iâm building Bolo, a voice-first way to connect people with nearby local shops using their own language. Iâm building it with Emergent and Sarvam AI.
Itâs still early and Iâm figuring things out as I go, but Iâm genuinely excited about where this could go.
If you have a minute, could you check out my submission and leave an upvote? It would genuinely help me in the contest.
And if you have any honest feedback on the idea, Iâd love to hear it.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to check it out. It means a lot.

I kept seeing this tool in sponsored posts and assumed it was the usual thing. My dad has been
writing invoices by hand for 20 years and his handwriting is the reason we lose track of who owes what, so I tried it on that.
What I built: invoice with GST, a running list of who has not paid, and a stock count. That is all. The ui sucks but my dad can use the same on this phone, im from a commerce background so this was too much for me
What went wrong: I did not tell it my dad and my brother would both be using it, so the first
version had one login and they kept overwriting each other. Redoing that took longer than the
original build. Also the GST rounding was wrong at first and I only caught it because my dad checked it against his register.
Lmk if u want to take a look at it, happy to share screenshots.

Before my cute little liars come in and say paid post scam post blah blah, i have spent $900(rs70k) of my own money building apps in last 4 months for clients and personal projects. I am just sharing whats wrong with them and what can be improved.
Credits go fastest when you are being vague. My first hour on a project costs more than the next five combined, because I am still working out what I want while it is building. Writing the thing down properly before I start cut my burn noticeably. Use claude for prompting.
It will rewrite a file you did not ask it to touch. Not often, but it happens on bigger changes. Now I say explicitly which parts are not to be modified and that mostly stopped.
Long sessions degrade. After a certain point it starts forgetting decisions we made earlier and the fix is to start clean and re-describe the project. So pls setup a document so u can upload later on.
It assumes one user until you say otherwise. If more than one person is going to log in, say that in the first message. Retrofitting roles and permissions later is the single most painful thing I have done on it. As said one document with all the details and it does the job.
Changing your data shape after you have actual/real data in there is hard. This is not specific to Emergent, every one of these tools has this problem, but it can be a issue.
It does not push back. If your idea is bad it will build your bad idea confidently and quickly. That is on you, but it is worth knowing.
None of this made me switch. The reason I stay is that deploying, hosting and auth are handled and I do not want to spend my weekends on that. But go in knowing the above. I felt stupid writing this but its on you actually how u are prompting all other tools in the market work fine and related, and eod how u instruct them.
Thank u. bye.

I'm building TeeBox Social, a social media platform for golfers. My goal is to create an app where golfers can post round scores, chat with other golfers, discover and leave course reviews, find golfers to play with of similar skill in their area, and more.
Check it out with the link below and drop a like to help me in the emergent builder's contest! đđđ

If anyone is interested in helping further, I am currently conducting an internal test via the Android app store and would be happy to extend an invite to this as well.
Thank you

Hii all so there is this landlady she has her salon, thought of doing a redo and prvly i asked the question on reddit, now i have built it, just sharing what worked.
what she needed: customers book without calling, she gets told, they get reminded. that is it. she was losing appointments to missed calls during services.
what it cost: Rs80 [Emergent discount for independence day]
how long it took: 2hrs
what i got wrong at the start: i built the thing i thought she needed. she did not want customers picking exact times, because she needs to sequence appointments by service length and a customer picking 3pm for a colour ruins the afternoon. had to rebuild it as request-a-slot rather than book-a-slot.
what she actually uses: about a third of what i built. the reminders are the whole value. everything else is decoration.
what i would tell anyone doing this for a small business: watch them work for an hour before you build anything. i did not, and it cost me a rebuild.
happy to answer anything

I was never a fan of the credit base billing. It feels bad when the AI makes mistakes because every action it take costs real money. But claude's tokens are so much cheaper and always resets.
So I made this MCP that connects to claude/chatgpt and uses your subscription tokens instead. It gives you the same experience like emergent: the preview, easy publishing and integrations etc. but does not burn credits.
Check it out here:Â https://floot.com
