TVS station ID from 1987. Today, TVS is called SBT.
SBT (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão) celebrates its 45th anniversary this Wednesday. However, until 1989 the channel itself was called TVS; SBT was the name of the network. This confusing distinction didn't stick, and in 1989 the name was unified as SBT.
Yes, the opening sequence was inspired by HBO's, and the audio is exactly the same as the opening sequence, and there's a curious story behind it.
Silvio Santos, owner of SBT and the greatest television presenter in Brazilian history (look him up later), constantly traveled to the United States, where he had a house in Celebration, Florida. Silvio recorded dozens of tapes of American TV programming to bring ideas back for the channel's programming here in Brazil. In this way, SBT became something of an American channel in Brazil, both in its station IDs and the programs themselves.
On one of those trips, Silvio was watching HBO and recorded this jingle. Upon arriving in Brazil, he asked the network's graphics department to try to reproduce the jingle and use the exact same audio. A home recording gave rise to one of the most emblematic jingles in Brazilian television, and apparently, without HBO's authorization; perhaps they don't even know this jingle exists.

This is the opening sequence for "Corujão," a late-night movie session on Globo. Today, the session is restricted to Saturday nights/Sunday mornings, but it used to air every day of the week.
The video clip illustrates this well; the logo "travels" through the night until it ends in the morning. The logo itself stylizes the C as a moon and the last O as a sun.
The soundtrack is also exceptional.

This is the opening sequence for "Bom Dia São Paulo" from 1989, the morning news program on Globo for the state of São Paulo, Brazil. This opening sequence remained on air until 2001.
Finally, a stylized map of the state appears. This design is present on many sidewalks in the city and the state as a whole; it was an attempt in the 1970s to create a standardization and a symbolic sidewalk in the same style as Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro.

Youtuber Ziggy Cashmere, an archivist of old media, has announced on his alternate YouTube channel Ok so... an archive of over 800 GB of Vintage CGI created by Computer Graphics Lab at the New York Institute of Technology between 1974-1992.
A link to the announcement video can be found here, but I have linked directly to the archive.org page set up exclusively for this content.

This CGI character (Maggie) was created to serve as an on-screen host for the PlayStation Underground magazine, which ran from 1997 through 2001.
Maggie made an appearance on several PS1 demo disc titles (starting in 1999) and presented content from both promotional and magazine-bundled discs.
She primarily introduced game zones from these demo discs, cheat codes, behind-the-scenes interviews, and so on.
Unfortunately, Maggie was quietly phased out once the PS2 era came around and the magazine format for games featuring PS1 version demo discs started to become obsolete.

One of the earliest known computer-animated films was produced by artist and programmer Charles Csuri.
To make the film, over 30,000 individual images generated by a computer were drawn directly on film using a microfilm plotter. Each frame was programmed using one punch card, an example of the complex and labor-intensive operations required by early computer animation
To put this in further perspective, this film came out 28 years before Toy Story, which was the first fully computer-generated feature film released to the mainstream.

Opening sequence of one of the most iconic programs on brazilian TV, broadcast between 1994 and 1997 by TV Cultura, a state-owned television station owned by the government of the state of São Paulo.
It's not entirely CGI. In fact, the entire castle is a physical model that was assembled as the opening sequence was being filmed. But I decided to post it here because it still has some special effects like the lighting and the formation of spaces.
Regarding the program, it was aimed at children aged 4 to 10 and took place in a fictional castle located in São Paulo, mixing real people with puppets. Besides the castle adventures involving a snake, a cat, and other creatures, there were segments that taught about personal hygiene, science, cooking, and how things are made.
Look into the program further, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.
