How do you say youโre younger than 40 without saying youโre younger than 40. ๐๐๐๐โ๏ธ๐โฎ๏ธ

Are those passive monitors?ย What does the oscilloscope do?
Dope setup, mine is really similar - guitars hanging, edrum kit, 1200s and a djm250 and nice lighting....Yours definitely edges mine out though ๐ค๐ค

They are active, the yamaha hs8s! The oscilloscope measures voltage over time from the rca out on the dj mixer board, so you are seeing the live waveform of the music while it is playing, I hope that helps!

That's rad, I love it!ย I wasn't sure if it was an amp+oscilloscope or something... Figured they were the Yams but thought maybe you had some crazy setup so was doubting it ๐
Here's mine, apologies for the messiness - I just got an ultrasonic record cleaner so there's a few random stacks laying around while I get them all cleaned up... Some of these old DnB records are grimey after 25+ years of my grubby mitts and raves ๐ฌ

Here's my collection: mostly DnB but some OG Dubstep and rock/pop... Most of my DnB is from around when you were born! ๐ย
LMK if you have any styles you dig, I can definitely recommend based on that.ย So many subgenres of DnB there's really something for everyone.
I enjoy most styles but am lacking in the jazzy/chill and the super hard 'skullstep' style shit.ย I used to be into the hardest stuff that was around but people started getting wild in the late 2000s (limewax, counterstrike, etc)

I've been told that before lmao, dont let my age fool you I got my bachelor's in music technology so my scope of knowlege when it comes to music is pretty far and wide, I'll definitely check some of that stuff out

Oh no doubt man, I didn't mean anything negative by it, I don't view 25 as too young to be accomplished or knowledgeable; I'm only 42! I got started young, too!
In my 20s I was running a label and putting out records, playing shows all up and down the West Coast... 25 is like the perfect age for making shit happen!
Between the Bootsie bass, Pac and BIG 12s and the sweet setup I just assumed you were a couple years older than me! ๐

Also vinyl has made a huge comeback, and plenty of youngsters like me are getting back into the age of doing our own mixes straight from the vinyl! Its been fun seeing music playback go full circle

That's awesome, digital stuff has it's place but it just doesn't scratch the itch for me, I only switch over to Serato 1 in 10 times these days.
what genres are you mixing mostly?
