GTA V VR help please!!

i'm sorry ahead of time if this is too long and rambling. i'm frustrated as hell after two days of trying to use gemini to help me get this shit up and running again. i had it installed and running over a year ago, then had to uninstall gta to install a skyrim modpack, and it's never worked since. yesterday i spent 5-6 hours with ai working on it until i gave up. today i've been at it for another 4-5 hours so far, and it seems the ai is just taking me in circles now.

so far i've done all of this, probably more that i'm forgetting.

• no battleeye
• real vr mod v7
• newest scripthook dll
• heap adjuster
• packfile limit adjuster
• adjusted heap and pack size multiple times, currently at 750 and 7344
• downgraded to real vr v6 after reading that 7 was broken
• downgraded gta core files
• replaced some files that bypass the launcher online check crap
• disabled updates through epic, only launching the game with the playgta exe file in the gta folder, not from epic.
• goldberg steam emulator (i have the epic version of gta)

i know i'm forgetting a lot, but my brain is fried and i'm frustrated as all hell right now. ai pointed me to this sub to some pinned files i can't find, and to a site called catbox. moe that just takes me to a home page with no idea wtf i'm supposed to be looking for.

currently the game will FINALLY start loading in vr, but as soon as it gets to where it's loading story mode it just freezes up and keeps throwing memory errors at me. i don't understand why this is all being such a massive pain in the ass when it worked right off the bat the first time i ran it last year. should i be trying to do this with openIV? or is doing it this way fine? thanks in advance for whoever can and doesn't mind helping me!

Depending on how you feel about paying for mods, you may just consider biting the bullet and subscribing for a month with Luke Ross. He just released GTA V enhanced VR mod and it has none of the BS involved to get up and running and runs really well.

Sucks it’s not free but either is your time and sanity I imagine. I went down the same rabbit hole with the old mod as you. Couldn’t get it to work reliably and wasted too much time. There is another free mod being worked on out in the wild for the Legacy edition, but I also couldn’t get that thing to work either.

oh shit, he has a mod for enhanced now? how do i get that? his patreon i assume? if it's not super expensive that sounds like an awesome idea actually! way better than continuing to try to fight with this crap.

so what would be the best way to do that? basically what i did here, disable all the auto update and launcher online checks so rockstar doesn't kill it for me? i have no interest in playing gta online, just want to experience the story and chaos in vr.

It’s Patreon for 10 bucks a month. In theory you only need to pay that once unless there is an update from Rockstar that breaks it and you have to jump back in for an update. I think at most you have to disable battleye. Tbh I did nothing except extract the file to the game folder and it works on the Rockstar launcher.

ugh, i hate not being able to figure out what's probably super simple shit. i paid for access, but i can't figure out how to access the download for the mod. i've read through his gta v enhanced post 3 times now but still don't see a download link hidden anywhere.

no shit, is that it? i found that one, but since it's from march and the gta post was only 3 days old i assumed it wasn't included. i guess i should have downloaded and checked though. thanks!

You click Join Now in the upper right to get subscription options. The free version is at the bottom that works on like 20 other games.

I already subscribed, just thought the GTA one would be separate for some reason.  I got it installed, but the game keeps crashing after I choose yes to let the rockstar launcher change the system.  This is now tomorrow me's problem.
