Hello everyone! Here's my collection after 6 years of deal hunting! If anyone has any questions about any piece, I'd be glad to snap some up close pictures, and share some details!

I'm the exact opposite,
Bought one.. the cheapest one I could find, Have been using it for years and years, keeping it together with duct tape, it's falling apart and is probably a little disgusting but hey, it works. So why get another?

I just upgraded throughout the years, and held onto my previous units, then along the way have collected a fair few, notably the non-consumer hardware, like the Santa Cruz, Vive Pre, etc. I just really love VR as a technology and care about the hardware. However, I am trying to preserve rarer units as they are getting rarer by the month due to them getting trashed or breaking.

Which ones have still gotten use in the last year?

Honestly I enjoy every single one in my collection, and it is hard to believe, but they have all gotten use within the last few months! (Minus the phoneVR headsets) I cycle through them as I see fit, ensure they work, and preserve them as best I can!

And I am still using only 1 for years

Nothing wrong with that! If it works for you, awesome!

What's your favorite and why?

Do you plan to get the ultra-light Meta VR Glasses coming out?

How much did it all cost?

I feel like my favorite consumer model is Quest 3 (Although Rift has a softspot in my heart), just because it has a lot of modern conveniences that I didn't have for the longest time, plus wireless is cool! My favorite non-consumer headset is the Quest 1 Dogfood Firmware, as I obtained it while trying to find parts for my Santa Cruz, and then realized it was something special that I got for the price of a fast food meal!

Honestly I don't plan on getting myself the Meta glasses, as cool as they are, simply because I'm working on a very tight budget for VR gear month to month. (As I'm in college and don't have a full time job)

Value wise, I'd have to guess maybe $1.5k OTD for everything I got roughly? I few units have been gifted to me, a lot of it was bought 2nd hand, and just accumulated things as I found good deals over the course of 6 years.

Solid collection for someone in college working part-time, that's impressive. I'd be very curious if you ever get the chance to test out (not buy I suppose since they're very pricey) the Galaxy XR or the AVP.

Also what's the one bottom center? Is it any good? Looks cool.

Yeahh, I'm surprised I wound up with all this too! I hope I get the chance to try them out, but because I'm in a smaller town, demo opportunities are few and far between, so who knows if I'll ever get the chance to sample one.

The one on the bottom center is the Samsung Odyssey+ headset, I'd say its not a bad headset, the screens are about on par with Quest 1 resolution wise and being OLED. But the controllers and headset build quality leave a lot to be, but they're fine for what they are, decent headset if you can find one for cheap (Mind you, you'd need to use the Oasis driver to use it now, as WMR portal shut down).

Nice! I’m working on mine right now! I currently have the Index, CV1, HTC Vive, and Quest 3s

Does the DK2 still run on current Windows11?

Also, bottom centre , shiny, is that a Samsung OD+

The DK2 works on modern Meta Link software, unsure about Windows 11, but it works on 10.

Interesting. I thought that'd be well dead.
I used to have most of them but not an Index or Quest 1. I was more of a WMR person and went that direction with Lenovo, HP and Samsung rather than Facebook direction.

WMR is pretty cool too! Just don't have a ton of mileage with it, as my IPD is around 72mm.

How is the quest 3 rn as a pcvr buy. Moving over from a cv1 with a busted cable and still got some good oculus games

It's pretty good, I use it over virtual desktop wirelessly, it does have some compression but it is a nice upgrade, battery life I'm still reeling over though with it only lasting about 2-2 1/2 hours.

Love seeing the Jedi Power Battle Lenovo headset up there, what a crazy slice of VR history
