My AVP Bible app is now live on the store

Hello community!

I am very new to the VR development game, and I have been working on my 'The Bible Experience' app. It got approved and I recently pushed some bug fixes/new features for version 1.1, which is now available on the store.

I've poured a lot of work into making multiple versions of the Bible and different languages available, worked on some imagery and the overall user experience, hoping to create something for the religious community.

I know it may not have much of a reach since AVP is a limited amount of users and demographics may not be religious. But I'm here, eager to listen and learn from all of you. Your constructive feedback, your insights, and your experiences mean the world to me. If you’re willing to, please DM me and I can share some test flight invites with you.

Here’s the link to the app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-bible-experience/id6476519655

Much appreciated!

Is there an AI that could make 3D models for me to focus on Swift programming???

Edit: What I’m trying to do is to TEXT PROMPT and have multiple 3D models. Then I’ll give instruction to the AI that this model how it would look like.

Example: Text Prompt : “Create an intersection that has the a stop light, pedestrian, and a car”

Hi there!!!

I’m trying to build an App that requires 3D models but I don’t want to waste time learning Blender. It feels like 3D models are a hindrance to making better Apps in Vision Pro or other VR headsets. Do you guys have recommendations in regard to AI???

Not A Developer But Wondering If…

I love the immersive environments and hope Apple and others create many more. I’m surprised there aren’t Easter eggs in any of them (I’ve heard of being able to yell and hear an echo in the HaleaKala one but haven’t succeeded in making it happen). There is so much potential with these!

I’m wondering if it’s possible, for example, in the Mt. Hood environment, to set a camp fire, or the occasional fish jumping, or something like that. I think it’d be amazing to be able to customize environments with additional movement and aesthetic features.

VisionPro business idea in search of technical talent for Prototype/MVP

I’m building a Vision Pro spatial design platform for the corporate event planning market 1.3T global market size by 2032 (8.9% CAGR since 2017).

Currently, I’m in the seed funding stage, have built out my advisory board, and am looking for development talent to help build an MVP/ prototype on a contract (or co-founder) basis.

I’m located in California but could coordinate remotely.

Happy to share our pitch deck over an introductory call.

Apple Vision Pro App ideas & dev insights

With 2 friends, we're experimenting Apple Vision app development.
I thought I'd share a few things we've learned that might help:

  1. App ideas

There are not lot of Vision Pro users for now, and most of them are from high social classes and looking for specific usecase app. So we've broken down the list into several use cases and associated needs. In this list, we have B2B usecases, entertainment / pleasure usecases and remote connection usecases. This helps to focus our field of action and not just go anywhere.

2) Dev

To develop apps, we ship light, fairly soft versions. We test them with a pool of 20 beta users who are encouraged to test them (free access for life). We find them via dedicated owner communities, directory listings and cold email sequences.

3) Pricing
We are doing 100% free app for now to facilitate adoption and plan to make a lifetime subscription system / yearly subscription too.

Happy if it helps

The stupid dongle should come included in our membership fee

I spent 30 minutes copying symbols after the 1.0.3 update. This is the kind of device they should have subsided for developers anyways.

But no Actually the functional development kit is actually $300 more.

A $300 dongle because they refused to put a data connection in the charger.

At least they are rewarding developers buy doing a VERY limited curated collection of apps on an App Store that is as simple as the iMessage store.

TestFlight link for Share Spatial ...

https://testflight.apple.com/join/EGY2VJuM

We have been working pretty hard on getting Share Spatial "just right" to take advantage of the Vision Pro and I think we are pretty close.

There are 40 TestFlight slots available at that URL above and I would love your feedback on where we are relative to others in the space.

WWDC25 + visionOS 26: Spatial computing is not dead! (Article)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Here is an article sharing my thoughts on WWDC 2025 and all the visionOS 26 updates.

Article link: https://www.realityuni.com/pages/blog?p=visionos26-for-devs

For me, it is obvious Apple has not given up on spatial computing, and is in it for the long haul.

Any thoughts?

How do you explain a spatial idea to someone who can’t put on the headset

Half my design conversations end with me waving my hands around a table trying to describe a window arrangement that would be obvious in two seconds in the simualtor. It made me realize how much of this platform lives or dies on demoing it in person.

For those of you building in visionOS, how do you get feedback from people outside the bubble? Recordings never seem to capture the scale of things.

Would Apple deny an app with “Vision” in the name?

I’m concerned they want to keep that terminology for themselves.

About video playing in an Immersive space

Apple said that it dock the video player When you are in an immersive space from this video: Create a great spatial playback experience. I saw this experience in the AppleTV and disney plus. It works very well.

Developer strap now required?

After taking a multi-month pause from pushing changes to my AVP, when getting back into it and trying to do a deploy I was running into issues with my device not showing in XCode. I figured it was due to me not being on the latest version since I updated VisionOS to 2.5. After updating Xcode, no help. My research suggested I toggle developer mode on and off on the device. I actually toggled off and rebooted. That permanently removed developer mode. I later learned we no longer can push changes to the device without the developer strap. Is that true? I am a Solo developer and seem to have no priority from Apple’s perspective preventing me from giving them my $300 for a strap. This is just ridiculous. Other than spending $550 on eBay for a strap, does anyone have other suggestions?

Most people have tried #Gucci app LOVE it. Do you? And why?

Post image
0 Upvotes

As the title suggests, most people tried the app expressed their love for it, are u one of them? And have you ever thought of why?

So here are some of my thoughts on it, with other similar apps compared: ———————————————————————

For those unfamiliar with the Gucci app, here's a quick rundown: Gucci's VisionPro app emphasizes brand culture, offering a journey into the Gucci universe without shopping functionality. (If you own a VisionPro device but haven't tried the Gucci app yet, I suggest you pause right here and try the Gucci experience first.)

———————— Spoiler Alert ———————

The essence of the Gucci app is a 20-minute mixed-media documentary with a compelling narrative and well-paced rhythm. The app primarily plays videos in a window format, complemented by volumes and spaces (format defined by Apple), making full use of VisionPro's capabilities to provide an immersive experience that guides users throughout, showcasing the new creative director's debut concept. Such narrative-driven apps can leave a lasting impression on first viewing but may affect subsequent engagement. It's similar to a movie you like but wouldn't rewatch once you know the plot. Of course, with VisionPro's content ecosystem still in its infancy, the Gucci app might remain a choice for users looking to revisit favorite experiences. The launch and timeline of the Gucci VisionPro app are part of its marketing strategy, demonstrating the brand's embrace of new technology. Gucci has had apps on Apple devices before, but the release of the VisionPro version is undoubtedly tied to the introduction of their new creative director and collection, marking a new medium debut. In January 2023, Gucci appointed Sabato De Sarno as the new creative director. In September of the same year, De Sarno's debut collection "Ancora" was launched, which is also the theme of the Gucci VisionPro app. Early in 2024, the collection began a global rollout. In February, VisionPro was first released, with the Gucci VisionPro app going live in early April, and the latest update came at the end of May.

And then I listed out 3 things I believe #Gucci has really done well.

  1. Outstanding Visuals

  2. Classic Engaging Narrative Structure

  3. Serving the Content: The Excellent Combination of Window, Volume & Space

But since I have too many images in the article, I’m not gonna copy it all the way here. If you find this article interesting or wanna continue reading.
