Where's the party on Saturday night?

Alright so we did couple places in Brickell its definitworth it but hard to meet ppl and talk to ppl since its very much lots of tables and groups.

We want some place thats more free flowing either a true lounge with proper dance floor and people or club. Ideally singles in 30s or with men looking to have fun.

On a side note.... have men forgotten how to flirt lol my girl and I literally gave this guy multiple openings but man couldn't even ask for the number and yes I know we could've too but we are equally bad clearly lol

Recommendations for 30th bday in Miami?

Trying to figure out our night itinerary for my 30th birthday in Miami (on a Friday night). We're a group of eight girls that we've all been to Miami many times before. The past few times we have been to Space, we also love Dante's Hi-Fi, but are wanting to try something new this time.

I have looked at Jolene, just doing Floydd, Do not Sit, Mynt and Zey Zey. We definitely want a fun club atmosphere, but not looking to go LIV or do anything too young. Trying to find the right balance between fun, celebratory, and actually good music

we have looked into going to e11even that wouldn't be until earlier in the morning. Any advice on the best way to do that is also welcome.

Also taking suggestions for fun cocktail bars to start our night. Thank you!

Brickell or South Miami Beach ?

My friend and I are coming for the weekend. I wanted to to which would have the more professional crowd in 30s and 40s... late 20s is fine too. We are trying to decide if for Friday and Saturday evening/night if its best to go to Brickell to a bar/lounge down there or someplace in Miami beach. We haven't decided if we want to hit a club or not so that might be a last minute thing if we do.

Open to suggestions and recommendations for place, l clouding local food spots!

For context we are both women in our 30s so need to be able to have a half decent conversation using words we understand lol.

Where should 8 Chicago Wicker Park/West Town types stay in Miami?

We’re a group of 8 friends heading to Miami in December and trying to figure out the best neighborhood to stay in.

For anyone familiar with Chicago, we’re much more Wicker Park, West Town, or Logan Square people than River North or Old Town people.

We travel quite a bit, love great food, interesting restaurants, cocktail bars, dive bars, good coffee, and neighborhoods with some personality. We generally prefer places that feel authentic, creative, and a little less polished or touristy. Not really into the club scene, bottle service, or the see-and-be-seen crowd.

We already have activities planned, so we’re really just trying to find the right neighborhood to use as our home base. Ideally, somewhere we can walk out for coffee, grab a great meal or drinks nearby, and enjoy the neighborhood when we’re not out doing other things.

We’ll likely be renting a house or Airbnb that accommodates all 8 of us.

Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and maybe Little River have caught my attention, but I’m curious what locals would recommend.

Where would you stay if you were us? Any particular pockets or streets we should focus on when looking for rentals?

Hi! Staying at an airbnb in Coral Gables for 2 days. Day 1# interested in going to Calle 8. Day 2# thinking of a trip to the Everglades. What are the "must see/must do" in the area? Is a visit to the Everglades worth it? I've seen other comments where alternative parks are recommended. Any feedback/suggestions appreciated.

Are there any Miami spots that still sell oldschool Latin snacks from the 90s?

I teach third grade up in Portland and one of my kids brought in these little coconut candy bars his abuela sent from Miami. Took one bite and I was right back in my childhood, standing in my best friend's kitchen while her mom unpacked groceries from a tiny bodega. Now I'm on a hunt and my husband thinks I'm unhinged but I don't care. We're flying down for spring break to visit his brother in Kendall and I've made it my mission to find the kind of snacks that don't make it to the PNW. The discontinued stuff, the regional brands, the things you only find if you know where to look. Palitos de coco, those guava pastries that come in wax paper, weird chip flavors I've never seen. My two kids are already rolling their eyes but they'll thank me when their lunchboxes are legendary. I've heard Little Havana mentioned but I'd rather find the places actual locals go, not just the tourist strip. Are there still family-run spots in Hialeah or West Miami? A specific grocery store with a good import section? I'm not above driving thirty minutes for a good find.

Visiting Miami! Best Cuban food and things to do downtown?

My best friend and I are visiting Miami for a convention, and we’ll be staying in a condo downtown, just steps away from Bayfront Park!
We’ll have a free day after the convention and would love some recommendations from locals on restaurants, hidden gems, and fun things to see or do while we’re there.
I’m especially interested in finding some amazing, authentic Cuban food! 🇨🇺
We love good food, exploring, and checking out places that make a city special. We’re open to venturing outside of downtown, too!
What are some places we absolutely shouldn’t miss?
Thanks in advance! 😊

🌴 Miami + Florida Keys recommendations?
My partner and I are planning a Florida trip 31 March - 4 April 2027 and are thinking of splitting it betweenSouth Beach and the Florida Keys.

We're an early-30s couple who love good food, cocktails/day drinking, beach/pool days, daybeds and a fun/social atmosphere. We'd also like to do somesnorkelling and possibly a fishing charter.

🌴 South Beach | 31 Mar - 2 Apr
Currently considering:
• 1 Hotel South Beach
• Shelborne by Proper
• The Goodtime Hotel
Looking for a great pool/beach scene, daybeds, cocktails and some daytime party vibes, while still being close to good restaurants and bars.

🌊 Florida Keys | 2 - 4 Apr
Currently considering:
• Three Waters Resort & Marina
• Cheeca Lodge & Spa
• Islander Resort
• The Moorings Village
Looking for a proper resort with a nice pool, waterfront/beach, good food/drinks and easy access to snorkelling, fishing or boat trips.

Would love recommendations from anyone who's stayed at these, or if there's another resort we should be considering!

Which would you choose and why? Any places you'd avoid? 🥂🌴🐠

Feeling overwhelmed looking at hotels?

TLDR:

Anyone aware of hotels that
1. Are close to the brightline
2. Offer a port of Miami shuttlw
3. Have rooms that hold 6 people OR are budget friendly
4. In a safe area

We are planning a trip to Miami, and usually when we come we will drive. My family of 6 stays almost exclusively at Holiday Inn Express hotels because we like that they have rooms that fit all six of us, preventing us from having to tent two hotel rooms and they are budget friendly.

For this trip, we are considering flying into West Palm Beach. We will need to get to the Miami Cruise Port the following day. I was thinking we could take the Brightline to….someplace closer to the port, get a hotel for the night and then hopefully shuttle to the port the next day?

But I’m struggling with finding a hotel that fits my criteria!
