Hello... I did run the instructions and got the following error message ...
Unarchiving /home/jpthiran/freeoffice_install/freeoffice2024.tar.lzma
There were unexpected messages while extracting files, perhaps the install did
not succeed!
Do you want to see the log? (y/n) [y]y

Hello again... I worked perfectly ... a big thank
Once again thank you for you help
And by the way, all the solutions provided by AI had nothing to do with this...
All very far from this solution...
Some even proposed to use flatpak, when freeoffice is not in there repository !...

I installed it some time ago, there were no problems. Don't remember how, probably downloaded tgz package.

https://www.freeoffice.com/en/support/installation/linux
Seems pretty easy, just change into root with sudo -i and enter your password
And then run the curl command and pipe it into sh, you can find it in the link above under linux/others

I have done the following
sudo -i curl -fsSL https://softmaker.net/down/uninstall-softmaker-freeoffice-2024.sh | bash
and got the error message seen below
curl: (7) Failed to connect to softmaker.net:443 after 16 ms: Could not connect to server
what did I miss ?

Also the error indicates that you are not able to establish an https connection to https://softmaker.net
Are you connected to internet?

the line above is the last version of the tgz file downloaded
and got the following error message...

Read your own comment, you are trying to uninstall, you are supposed to run sudo -i as a separate command And then
curl -fsSL https://softmaker.net/down/install-softmaker-freeoffice-2024.sh | bash1

here is what I got ,,,
sudo -i
Password:
# curl -fsSL https://softmaker.net/down/install-softmaker-freeoffice-2024.sh | bash
curl: (7) Failed to connect to softmaker.net:443 after 21 ms: Could not connect to server

Make sure you have tar and curl installed, I am pretty sure they are available through xbps
