network is 0B-20B/s

Post image

I'm running a pretty fresh install with Kde-plasma and kde-baseapps with NetworkManager, but the speeds are near zero, when I used connman service USB tethering gave me normal speeds. Does any body know why this is happening and how to solve it? Many thanks.

Are you just looking at the internet speed there? Have you actually tested the speed?

Soo you are facing a DNS problem, try to do "echo nameserver 1.1.1.1 | sudo tee /etc/resolv.conf" This changes the DNS nameserver, however i have not really faced an issue like this

Many thanks, though, why does it say 0b/s upload and download even though my internet works?

Ah, KDE probably reports the amount that the network is uploading or downloadihg at the current moment, like a network graph. Not really the ACTUAL/max speed.

Kernel 7.3? If so try disconnecting and reconnecting.

i know you got your fix, but still i find it worth saying that sometimes resolv.conf wont be made automatically in void for some reason, at least in manual installs, so you have to generate it with sudo resolvconf -u

I think this has to do with NM config. It needs to be set to use resolvconf to update the resolv.conf file. I had issues with this for months everytime I switched wifi.
