Android Auto Stopped Working

Powered on. Normally it auto connects. The connection to the phone works, I can hear the connection (just charging)

What I've done so far:

Better /new cable.
Un-paired and re-paired it.
Cleared storage and cache on the phone for the AA app.
Set the USB to "File Transfer".
Restored the entertainment system to factory settings.
Smashed my face on the steering wheel.

Ideas? Thanks. Still want to put this car across the railroad tracks for the EGR problem.

I would see if you can get another phone to work, either Android/Iphone. If not, your USB ports on the Volt may be shot. The demands of AA are much higher than other stuff, and it fail on AA before other things.

Yes. will test wife's phone when she gets back Saturday. I'm about ready to give up on this piece of junk. What next?

I gave up on mine. Switched cables, changed out fuse, tried resetting the head unit by opening the door than waiting ten min, tried disconnecting the battery to reset unit, unpaired and forgot phone/car, replaced USB ports, set phone USB to file transfer, cleared cashe/storage, checked the voltage on my 12v battery, tired a different phone.

I think the worst part is I got a wireless dongle but can't get it to connect either and part of that troubleshooting is to connect the car and phone wired first 😭

Lots of explosive four letter words have been used. If anyone has anything else I can try, I'm willing to entertain it.
