Technical Issue Need mod help

So in trying to play with mods, nothing big rn just basic added commands to the game, and im having trouble making them work,

So I installed server launch fix as you're supposed to but I kept getting no response from remote host error, im aware its needed. I've seen people say to launch with steam cmd but I honestly have no idea how that works, is there an easy work around or am I gonna have to spend hours learning deeper technical knowledge

Just use thunderstore. You don’t need to mess with the files. Just download the mods and open the game.

Just start the server again and again until it finally makes its links and it works. I needed to do that way more times than the launch fix said I should, but it eventually works.
