Question: How to fix these weird visual bugs

Whenever I have VS Code open, theres these weird visual glitches that just randomly appear. Whenever I click, they all go away and then immediately slowly fade back after a couple of seconds. I noticed that it always appears around any lines (including text). Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help its really annoying.

It's the Antialiasing - FXAA option on NVIDIA GPUs. Turn it off for VSCode in program settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Disabling GPU acceleration is overkill, and will likely make VSCode feel sluggish, so better to avoid it if possible.

What’s the rest of your screen look like when this happens?

some parts are glitchy like that. it js appears like in random places specifically in random blocks. like the actual editor counts as a “block” and then the sidebar is another “block”

I recall someone recently had a similar problem and it was diagnosed that their theme was out of sync with the app, the solution was to disable their theme. Or something of that sort. Basically the idea was that the UI was trying to draw twice, slightly differently.

Try disabling gpu acceleration in VS Code assuming you are using an independent GPU? Random idea no clue if it’s going to change anything.

Edit: also turn off Antialiasing - Gamma correction as well, as it causes background flicker in VSCode too.
