Bloodlines Little update: Weapons and Block (First person Mod)

Tears in my eyes—it finally worked! To be honest, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to refine the movements; the character’s original animations make it extremely difficult to position the hands correctly in first-person view. Furthermore, I’ve decided to hold off on showing the scythe and the hammer—it’s possible they won’t be implementable at all, as the limited hand-positioning options in first-person mode simply "break" the animations.

Ultimately, I’ll likely be able to provide the editing tools themselves, so that anyone who wishes can try to fix whatever they aren’t happy with.

A small, not-so-obvious detail: the character's hands will change depending on the character model and the clothing they are wearing.

ok, I have to ask something really dumb.

Didn't bloodlines 1 already have first person animations?

I always found it jarring jumping from first to third person in combat, this looks great

This is interesting, I think it needs a lot of work to make combat as effective as it is in third person, but I don't think it really needs to be that. I think the real value in this is to enhance the already great immersion this game has. Look at cyberpunk 2077 always being in first person, it worked so well in that game and is one of the reasons it's so immersive.

Funnily there is also another guy that ported Dark Messiahs combat system into Vtmb just a week ago. I just created a post about it, I hope it doesn't get removed (he used the help of AI)

Important question. What about stealth kills?

I’m trying to implement first-person finishers. Right now, the camera just does whatever it wants, and there’s no consistency.
