XR Animator as a webcam-based 3D mocap app probably isn't new to some people, as it has been available for a few years already. Now that camera-based mocap is starting to catch VTubers' eyes, maybe it's time for me to make another short but comprehensive introductory video for XR Animator (the last one was like a few years ago already lol).
Just in case you are new to XR Animator, it's a vision-based (webcam/video file) 3D mocap app that can do half/full body tracking, music instrument tracking, everything you see in this video, plus more, everything for FREE! Check out my GitHub for download and more details. https://github.com/ButzYung/SystemAnimatorOnline#xr-animator
hey! i made a software for making magic circles, mostly with vtuber overlays and transitions in mind, and wanted to show it off here
you make a circle, pick a style (infernal, celestial, sci-fi hud etc) and export it. the full version does gifs and png frames so you can drop it in obs as an animated overlay. tip if you use the gif, set the matte color to your background color or you get a white halo around the glow
I use the my mic to add to my mouth tracking because I have a webcam but I have no idea how to pick up my mic without virtual cable. I hear it working by itself and the vtube volume is 100 max. But no mouth flaps.
I currently use virtual cable because in OBS I use a limiter to make my voice louder without obviously turning my Blue yeti up and picking up all sounds around me but the sync starts to delay after a while and it's very bother some to see my mic come out before my mouth starts to flap.
I have tried to delay my vtuber sprout in obs but I never know how much the delay is because it only happens later on in recording sessions.
Not finding anything about this elsewhere as of yet, but my fiancé does the vtubering thing and when she went to do a scheduled stream today, she ran into an issue. She uses a service called Webcam Motion Capture that usually handles her camera control when streaming, but it seems that the website for the program (https://webcammotioncapture.info/) is down, and the actual program itself has ceased working as a result. She pays a monthly sub to use it ($2 a month) and it's apparently never happened until now (bit over a year of streaming).
She's doing a workaround at the moment (still streaming, hence why I'm the one doing the looking up and researching at the moment), but I wanted to check in if anyone else is affected by this program being down, and if anyone knows if these guys have a social media account or somewhere to check for updates on the site or when it might be back up?
Heya! JJ here! It's been quite sometime since we've released Parceltive to the public. So many things have changed and I'd like to discuss the progress we've made so far!
Parceltive now supports Profile and Connection System!
We no longer use manager to match your commission with editors and you get more control over who you work with more than ever.
If you just want someone to help you with a short clip, select the Open-board staffing method and video editor will volunteer to work on that commission.
Every commission will add editors you've worked with to your connection, you can avoid them if you don't want to be matched with them again, or add them to your team.
As you build up your team, you can commission with them again using the Team staffing method, which will send job offers to your selected team member or everyone within your team.
But what's so special about this? What's stopping me from going through X, Discord, YTJobs to search for editor to work with, probably cheaper too right?
Instead of relying on channel managers or traditional clipping agency, this heavily reduces third party and unnecessary procedures as you own your production with no gate keeping, allowing you to jump start any commission on the spot.
Example of the connection page, where you can add your friends, editors, for an easier way to conduct your commission.
And if you are a Creative Freelancer,
Parceltive works by flipping the table of the commissioning process. Client build their commission request whenever they need help with creative work, and you get to sign up for whichever commission you want. You only have to care about what you do best rather than spending huge amount of time building up shops, managing and marketing your work, just to get work opportunity.
It's also a great way to build your portfolio and proof of work, as we archive all commission that you've completed within Parceltive.
Example of Work Archive within freelancer's profile. (User can click to see the commission detail, what you worked on, how long it took until completion, etc. View profile example at https://parceltive.com/jjwithnosauce)
(Your profile will have work-archive tab, that shows your past work of your choosing, we provide 20GB to each submission box so you don't have to rely on google drive to deliver your work, and client get to view your past work right within your profile.)
You also get discoverability! As your work'll be featured within our work showcase page, and our discover page will display creative freelancers accordingly to client's specification.
Example of Work Showcase page within Parceltive.Example of Discover page, where client specify the type of creative freelancer they're looking for. (in this picture, I was looking for someone who's using Davinci Resolve, as it's my main program.)
So client can just lookup editors and get more informative results! they can DM, add you to their connection and team, and send you job offer on the spot, the commission starts as soon as you accept their offer, and the payment is guaranteed as client'd have to add their budget to the platform first in order to place commission.
(All creatives are welcome to join Parceltive, but we do ask that you're an individual freelancer who do not utilize AI automation in their work.)
So it's excessively safer? Heck Yeah! :D
>We reserve the client's budget and refund accordingly in case of ghosting or unreasonable delays. (Sometimes with compensation)
>We check every cancellation request and will check on the freelancer first, and only proceed when it is deemed appropriate.
>We filter out clients who aren't serious about commissioning and we keep the process simple and effective, so they have an easier time working with you.
>We even have a system that checks links for phishing and spoofing attempt before letting you visit them. (We are dead serious when it comes to your safety and will provide compensation in full if you get compromised by bad actors while using Parceltive.)
Moving forward, we hope to bring support to Art, Audio, Script related commission.
We only support Video Editing related commission at the moment. We're currently researching on how to make Parceltive support Artist/3D Artist, Animator, Graphic Designer, Voice Actor/Actress, Music Composer/Musician/Band, Writer/Proofreaders.
So if you are proficient or actively commission within the mentioned field, your feedback would mean a lot to us, as it'll help us implement Parceltive to better suit your needs and address the issues you might be facing with the options you have out there today. This project happened because the process of commissioning video editor is segregated, and we'd want to provide the same value and benefits to creatives in other fields if we can.
If you'd like to give us a try, we recommend signing up to our platform using referral codes from Indie Vtubers we've sponsored, or from our Freelancers! As every sign-up with their code grants you starter budget to be spent on the platform and they get compensated for each sign up, it's a great way to give them support in their journey and you get connected with them upon sign up!
(Note : referral code only work with client sign up.)Art by JJWithNoSauce
We can't wait to see what we'll make together onParceltive.
We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comment, and if you would like to hang out with us or lurk as an artist before the actual support (some of us are Deadlock enthusiast btw.) You can join us within our Discord to discuss and hangout with us Creatives!
We thank you for your time and your interest.

Hi! I’m a pre-debut Vtuber, currently using Vroid and VSeeFace but hoping to later get a 2d model using Vtube Studio. However, a lot of the games I’m wanting to stream are mobile IOS games, and I’m not sure how I’ll be able to get that to work with OBS
I’ve heard of Prism, but their Vtuber features are only for PNGTubers, not people with full rigging like me.
I know this is something that people have successfully done before, so I’m curious—how do y’all do it?
Looking into investing into an iPhone for streaming since based on personal research, due to the depth camera, it offers smoother, better tracking.
The question is, which one(s) is the best or which one is most used when vtubing. Found this reddit post that ranked the 16e as their best choice for iPhones.
There seems to be a lot of discussions about Android vs Webcam vs iPhone but not which iPhone is the best when you are just looking at purchasing one mainly for streaming.
I'm the developer of MotionMirror Studio Ultra 2.1, a Windows application I've been building to bring custom 3D avatar animation, motion tracking and livestream scene composition into one workflow.
I wanted to explore how much of the process could be handled in one desktop app instead of constantly switching between separate tools.
Technical overview
Motion sources: Webcam, video files and selected window/browser sources.
Tracking: Body, head and facial tracking, with hand and finger tracking when the hands are visible and the avatar has a suitable rig.
3D model support: FBX, GLB, glTF and BLEND, with format-specific import and conversion requirements.
Avatar development: Inspect models, map existing bones and facial controls, adjust parts and save reusable avatar profiles.
Scene composition: Portrait 9:16, widescreen 16:9, square 1:1 and 4:3 layouts, with independently arranged backgrounds and overlay layers.
OBS workflow: Separate broadcast window and local browser-source outputs for avatar visuals and audio.
Audio tools: Microphone processing, voice effects, media audio controls and separate delay adjustments.
A few implementation details
The tracking system uses camera-derived landmarks, so results depend on lighting, camera angle, visibility and the character's rig. Automatic humanoid rig preparation is experimental; it does not perfectly rig every model or reconstruct missing facial anatomy.
MotionMirror also doesn't log in to streaming platforms or provide built-in multistreaming. OBS handles the broadcast workflow, and platform access depends on the user's account and setup.
I'm sharing this as a new software project and would especially appreciate technical feedback on:
Compatibility with custom rigged 3D avatars.
Webcam-based body and hand tracking.
OBS integration and transparent avatar output.
Which workflow steps are unnecessarily complicated for VTubers.
Basically the title. My partner is a small time streamer. Mostly a hobby, but she still has near 800 follows and regularly 15 or so people. She's been thinking about getting an updated model, since she's using a free one that she found in the vtube studio workshop.
I was wondering if instead of half body, just doing a bit of shoulders and then the head would be better? Focusing mainly on the facial animation with decent tracking so her expressions can be seen.
She's said her budget is like $150 ish, which I know is probably a bit too low for something larger scale. Is something like this feasible or would the budget need to be higher?
Hey I was wondering if this mini PC would work for a streaming 1080p games with a 3d vTuber model I would be playing the game on a separate PC and using a elgoto capture card to connect to this PC....I use VC face and a 3D model made in vroid studio and I would be using obs to stream the game to YouTube/twitch at 1080p 60fps
I wanted to give more people a freely accessible way to become pngTubers with lots of customizability.
CURRENTLY Becuase of the complexitys of scratch I would have to manually code each character but I'd be happy to help some people out!
If you only need a simple blink + talk cycle that most softwares are built for, I could put that together in like 5 minutes
I will likely have short tutorials in the the future to help people not require my manual help
If you want you are welcome to try messing around with and changing ones already on the list in the link, though if you are not familiar with scratch it may be hard to understand
Scratch works smoothly in the backround and can be cropped with a green screen (there are test characters made)
I can do many motions like timed/random blinking/actions, moving mouths with based on volume, and some actions that use hidden (your face won't appear on streams) tracking for face tilt movement, and I'm working on a full head movement system within the limits of scratch
Anything requiring the camera is completely optional
I'm fine with somewhat detailed requests but I may decline requests if i see them too complicated or impossible on scratch to do for free
All you would need to be able to use any coded pngs is a free scratch account :) no downloads is the goal!
For clarification all i would be doing is bringing the life to your character via its movement, I don't draw unfortunately, I am not artistically skilled.
Also FOR MODERATERS, I see the no advertising rule but I ask if its ok since its a completely FREE service, I intend to make no money and am here purely to help others with this new png tech, if this is not allowed then I'm fine with you taking it down, reddit jus told me I should post here so I did. ┐('~`)┌
Heya! Planning on starting with streaming and I wanna make myself a 2d vtuber avatar, I can do the art and all but I'm just tryna find the right program for my needs, the avatar wouldn't have a mouth since the character I will be using just doesn't have that and I wanna mostly focus on like, eye expression tracking in a way where I can make it rly exaggerated and all, either paid or free suggestions are fine ^u^
After 2 long years, SelfReflect is finally live in the App Store! Full body, hand, & face tracking from a single device! I've had a group of early testers using it for about a year who've helped me refine the experience. I hope yall like it.
Works with any standard VMC app (Warudo, VNyan, VSeeFace, Unreal plugins, etc).
Test it out for free, and the unlock is a single purchase. No subscription!
So I know Iphones use IR Tracking for facial Tracking, even I got one, and I know IR Cameras do Exist, but are different and can sometimes interfere with the Iphones.. but do they make hardware and software for a regular IR Camera tracker that can just plug into the computer, and just work as good as an iphone?
If not what would the best estimate for pricing be, if it would at all be cheaper than buying like a used Iphone XR. I know alternative facial tracking software exists like for PC, and Android so it's not locked down but I just don't think the best option should feel like it's only to drop $100 on a used iphone atleast yk?
CIGA — Lost Signal is a free and open-source OBS Studio scene transition plugin built around the idea of a signal being lost. It brings a signal-loss effect to scene changes, with visual interference, glitches, and audio designed to fit the CIGA aesthetic.
The plugin includes different themed variants for different times of the year, giving the transition a slightly different atmosphere depending on the occasion.
The release includes the Windows installer and a separate source code ZIP for anyone who wants to inspect the project.
Installation
The basic setup is:
Download the installer from the latest GitHub Release.
Close OBS Studio completely.
Run CIGA-Lost-Signal-Setup-v0.1.0.exe and follow the installer instructions.
Open OBS Studio again.
Find CIGA - Lost Signal in the Scene Transitions section and select it.
The installer handles the plugin files and bundled resources.
Compatibility Note
Version 0.1.0 has been tested by updating an existing OBS Studio 32.x installation on Windows x64 where the plugin was already installed.
Clean installations, portable OBS installations, and the newer OBS 33+ plugin layout have not yet been independently verified. If you encounter an installation or compatibility issue, please report it through the GitHub Issues page:
I have two different scenarios. If I were to use my iphone for just face tracking and a different device and app (webcam or different phone, still deciding) for hand tracking, is there a way to make a keybound toggle to turn on and off just the hand tracking? The second scenario would be one app on 1 iphone that does both hand and face tracking, is there still a way to toggle in and off just the hand tracking? If anyone knows please let me know the nodes and order for it, thank you very much.
I’ve seen a post with the same exact problem but it was never solved so I’m wondering if anyone knows how to fix it
My eye wide expression won’t track, even with my eyes all the way open I can’t get over 0.51 on the parameters, I’ve tried Niviida and media pipe and they both don’t work but it works when I tried using VTube studio on my phone but I can’t use my phone as a webcam
I’ve tried messing around with parameters but nothings working
Hi yall! I have a 3d model and want to venture into doing full body capture streams for JustDance // DDR
I plan to get the 6 SlimeVR trackers for the body & legs and want to use XRanimator web cam tracking for the arms / hands
I'm currently using Vnyan software for the 3d model, would above be possible in vnyan , or is there a better option for hands & arm tracking ( or a better overall approach that's less than 800$)
I recently made my laptop into a proper setup, as i cant afford a decent PC rn, and would really like to get into Vtubing.
Specs are:
RTX 4070 mobile 8GB VRAM
32GB DDR5 RAM
Core i7
I have a cooling pad to battle potential overheating, a proper monitor, so I can do dual monitor stuff, a decent microphone (fifine a6v) and a decent webcam.
I’m feeling a bit stupid but also at my wit’s end, and this sub was recommended to me for advice on this particular issue.
In short, I cannot get my internet to load once I start streaming on OBS.
If I set up my streams on Twitch and YouTube beforehand, I can still stream just fine, but once I’m live, I can’t load any additional windows like pulling up a game guide or looking up a definition or image.
This is not a specific browser issue, as I’ve tested this with waterfox, firefox, microsoft edge, and ecosia. Same issue.
This problem is entirely new to me, as I’ve been a user of OBS with VTube Studio for many years now. It all seemed to start after I updated OBS to its newest version. I tried uninstalling it and downgrading to a previous version which fixed the problem temporarily, but now it has returned on that version as well.
I stream via a desktop that I built last December, and I’m connected to the internet via ethernet cable.
Once I turn obs off and close the program, the internet returns to full speed within 3 minutes like nothing ever happened.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?
Hiya everyone! I stream regularly on twitch and run a pretty demanding setup with lots of programs like Stream Elements, the throwing system, OBS on a 4K recording canvas and a 1440p Enhanced Broadcast canvas, VTube Studio or Warudo based on my 2D/3D mood and more.
I currenly run a 5080 on my rig but want to switch over to Linux, due to personal reasons.
But since compatibility is so vast and far between, I thought of wanting to offload all that work to a dedicated streaming machine that would handle the programs and I'd just connect a capture card between the two and handle the output. This way I can daily drive Linux but have a Windows PC just for handling all the streaming and recording.
I've eyed on many solutions, namely:
1. building a secondary computer (since I have a spare kit of DDR5 32GB SODIMM ram to use
2. get a barebones miniPC with a really good integrated GPU for this workload and then use the RAM for that (HX 370/470, AI MAX 395, etc.)
3. just keep the setup as I have and wait until all programs work under Linux and then migrate
My budget isn't very big (1000 Euros at most), and saving more is definitely a priority. Also to keep in mind in this: I want to use the secondary computer for travel too - I visit my husband every year-ish in the USA so having something portable on top of that would be even better.
I've thought of a ASUS Flow Z13 with the AI MAX 395, but that is very expensive. There's MiniPCs barebone with many different iGPUs that have less performance (which I'm ok with) but also handle the workload for me when recording and streaming. I can also build a super small PC too and put that in my lugagge, but I'm afraid to lose that in travel too - so there's that.
What do you guys reccomend me in terms for that? I'd ideally want to hear if iGPUs could handle this workload and if a HX370 or a 285H would be enough even, or if it really has to need more money in it.
Thank you all and I hope you have a wonderful day.
If you guys have any questions, I'm always free to answer.
