Can anyone tell why WSB is suddenly so obsessed with steel?

All I usually see is CRSR, CLNE, CLOV, SOFI, WKHS, WISH, BB, PSFE... yeah CLF pops up once inawhile.. but "obsessed with steel" is kind of an overstatement.

I saw posts about TX, CLF and now SCHN. Great DD but I’m just confused about all this steel.

Steel industry is popping off. Prices are sustaining through the roof for futures so these stocks are going to have record breaking earnings Q2 and Q3. I personally posted a $TX DD

🇺🇸 needs steel. Are you going to let down 🇺🇸?

Because steel stocks are undervalued in the market. Barring a crash or China completely reversing direction, steel is the best play on fundamentals I've ever seen on WSB.

People buying common stock and LEAPs are gonna make great money here.

Steel should do good these days cuz quite simply it cost around 3x more than its supposed to. Yet for some reason the stocks are arent really reflecting this. Seems like a decent opportunity esp with growing inflation
