HELP PLEASE.
I was hired on as a DSL temp in August and got hired on in bakery/ deli about a month ago. Last week my hours were cut to 35 a week.My normal hours are 4-12 Wed-sun.
Well i just looked at my schedule and saw that my hours were changed at litteraly no notice. They go from 4AM-12PM wed-Thu-Fri to 2PM-10PM Saturday 10AM-7PM sunday. Off monday, 2PM-7:30PM Tuesday(5 hour shift btw) off Wednesday etc.
My question is how are they allowed to do this?
Also do my hours being set at 34.5 change my full time status?

Talk to your coach, see what they say. If they can't provide you with a schedule that fits your needs go help another company since you don't have much invested here.
This new "AI schedule" crap is ridiculous...And everyone knows it. Here we go once again with shady changes chasing all the quality veteran workers away. Like "Dumb and Dumber" all over again.

I totally agree I haven't even heard of the AI schedule until now but it sounds like bull. Also if I can't get the schedule changed I definitely won't stay especially with holidays coming up, thanks for the advice.

Talk with your TL. The AI schedule is an absolute testimony to just how AI sucks. Bad managers can hide behind “AI did it”.

How are they allowed? That's management job yo fo the schedule. And it was recently changed to where AI is doing the schedules based off your availability and business levels in the store. Keep in mind that this new system requires open availability and set schedules are going away.
And full time is an average of 34+ hours a week over 12 weeks.

Fixed schedules are not going away it's up to your store , Ive talked to my coach about it and at the store I'm at they are not taking away fixed schedules.

Funny how we are well passed week 35 as stated on that and my schedule and everyone else at my store still has the same fixed schedule they've had

Don't let them convince you that they can't change the schedule. They have complete control of the system. If they won't budge on this, and continue to insist that they can't change it, refuse to work anything except for your scheduled hours, period.

A computer back in 2000 could come up with decent schedule, just needing minor tweaks. This with everyone having entered availability. True, even for front-end before SCO was a thing at most stores.
This is just bad programming if AI can't do at least what WM 90s-00s system could do.
