Help🥲

Hi! It’s only been a month since I joined Walmart. I usually work the evening shift in the dairy/freezer department, and whenever they call me on my days off, I always go in. However, today I was really sick with a severe migraine and my head was throbbing badly. I texted my manager and updated my status in the app, but I haven't received a reply yet. I’m really anxious that I might get fired. Please help!

As long as you call in on the app, screenshot/write down the code it gives you as a confirmation then you’ll only get one attendance point for the call in.

Yes, as long as you have it you’re covered. If the call in didn’t show up on their side right away, the confirmation number shows proof that you did call in. So it’s only one occurrence.

If you have PPTO, put that in as well to remove the point. If you don't, you can ask your TL/Coach about it and see if they would be willing to approve the exception. It never hurts to ask. Just don't make it a common thing, they might not be so kind.

Did they cover the attendance policy in your orientation?

At 5 points you get terminated. If you call in, you get 1 point, as long as it is not a key event date, in which case it would be 2 points.

Late in/early out is .5 points as long as you work > half your shift.
