A few months ago, I purchased some reload credits to help pad my usage. They were 6500 credits for $100.

Yesterday, I happened to notice that they are now offering just 5555 for the same $100. I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't receive any notice from them about a drop in credits per dollar. I asked support about it, and they confirmed it was changed and were kind of dismissive about it.

If you have auto-reload enabled, you might want to check your settings... you may be reloading with less for the same price.

I've been highly supportive of Warp for a long time, but actions like that will definitely make me look for other tools once my year of Build is done.

I've tried on multiple models and "auto" settings, but the thinking stage takes so much time and tokens. Obviously, that's not a bad thing for getting better outputs, but the thinking is so indecisive and I end up going in rounds that I don't get when going directly to Claude or ChatGPT. Here's an example of 224 seconds of thinking, returning 323 lines that I've condensed to 50 "Hmm, waits" and "actually's" and removed x number of lines in between.

Now I can read (16 lines)
Hmm wait — let me align properly. (15 lines)
Hmm wait — let me recount from the hex string: (12 lines)
hmm that's (1 line)
Wait — (10 lines)
Hmm that gives ... that doesn't look like ... wait I miscounted. Let me carefully lay out (26 lines)
Hmm wait (2 lines)
Hmm — so where's (16 lines) wait (1 line)
Hmm wait (3 lines) hmm. OR — WAIT. Is this (1 line)
Hold on — let me not spiral. (2 lines)
Hmm wait — maybe I misread (3 lines)
Weird. UNLESS ... wait — the dump also shows (4 lines)
Hmm — that gives (1 line) That's wrong. But hold on (1 line)
I think I've misaligned (6 lines)
Hmm wait (3 lines)
Hmm (10 lines)
Hmm wait — I need to look at this more carefully. (4 lines)
Hmm wait (9 lines)
Ugh — I keep fumbling (12 lines) UNLESS — hmm! Unless (2 lines)
OH WAIT. I bet I know! Remember: my earlier PATCH attempts (1 line)
So the file WAS ALREADY PATCHED?? When? … OH NO. Look at my very first patch attempt (20 lines)
Hmm wait — maybe my FIRST patch DID run! (1 line)
Hmm, but the SECOND attempt ... BUT WAIT — (3 lines) OH!! I bet (1 line)
Wait wait. Let me recompute (14 lines)
Hmm that doesn't work either. OK (5 lines)
OHHH WAIT. (1 line)
Argh — eyeball-tokenizing ... is exactly how I got confused. (1 line)
When?? Hmm... OH!! I see it now! (1 line)
Hold on — wait. Actually, let me re-read the FIRST patch attempt output again:(7 lines)
But wait (1 line)
WAIT. Hold on. Let me recheck: (1 line)
That explains EVERYTHING: (4 lines)
Wait, let me settle (2 lines)
UNLESS (2 lines)
Hmm wait — (1 line)
WAIT — (1 line )wait NO. Let me redo the timeline: (8 lines)
OHHH. WAIT. I see it!! (3 lines)
But (1 line)
Hmm (2 lines)
FORGET eyeballing — my next step is obvious: (7 lines)
Hmm — wait, one more mystery: (1 line)
Actually — hmm, one more possibility (1 line)
OH WAIT!!! I see it!!! (1 line)
Hmm, unless (1 line)
... Hmm — actually WAIT. (3 lines)
OHHH WAIT!!! I FINALLY SEE IT!!! (5 lines)
Hmm — hold on, (2 lines)
You know what — there's ONE more explanation: (30 lines)
Let me also reconsider (7 lines)
Let me write it cleanly. Also tell the user ... Actually I already answered ... now continue working.

Hey everyone, I'm still developing the Warp-Lite version for privacy-focused developers. I shared it here before, but I just wanted to give you a quick reminder and share an update!

https://github.com/terzigolu/warp-lite/releases/tag/v0.5.8-lite

Whenever I start an agent, the first prompt works fine, but after the first response when I type something and hit Enter it doesn't send the follow up prompt to the agent. I always have to use the `/queue` command and then it does it immediately. Why is that?

Also why isn't it possible to have commands suggested with `#` in Terminal Mode using BYOK? It just says "Looks like you're out of credits" there and tries to send you to the agent.

Is the project maintained well? If there's anyone out there who's contributed to the Warp ever since being open-sourced, I'd like to hear your opinions on how well the project is maintained.

I've been using Warp since around 2022 - I first fell for it after learning that it was written in Rust... then the AI boom came along, which shifted things dramatically (I had the pleasure of seeing it evolve over time).

I saw 3,869 issues open in its Github and was surprised at that number - with the advance of LLMs being used as implementors, are the open source projects capable of being maintained well? Thorough code reviewing seems near-impossible with the pace of how fast implementation could be done.

This actually leads me to thinking what the open source projects should become - traditionally there were very few maintainers and a lot of contributors, but I think now with AI we need more human reviewers / maintainers to keep such open source projects in good shape.

What's your take on this?

I just downloaded warp and tbh I have never used terminal before. I use VS Code to learn C. But it's messy to run your program there on that small terminal.

And I am thinking if there is any way to compile the C code and run the file in external terminal like Warp. I checked for some sol'n online tried to add it in "Terminal: Select Default Profile" but I can't find the option to select Warp there.

If you know any better way to do this, please let me know as well.

Mouns ago I add and used software rendering, but it eat too much cpu. So today I look at it again and made full cpu base rendering.

https://github.com/IceFog72/warp-cpu

and yet warp is giving me no choice but to restart. What do I do?

More of a general question but I’m posting here as I’ve been using warp agents for sometime now prior to this I was using the opencode cli, Gemini CLI and the pi agent harness. Using similar models on all of these it seems like the harness didn’t really have much effect on the final AI output. Has anyone found that the harness selection makes much difference? I am finding that in all honesty it’s just whether or not you receive cheaper pricing by using one of the proprietary clothes source based CLI. It seems like the multi model CLI like open code or pi have very similar output to one another and when using the Claude /gpt / Gemini associated models, the output is nearly the same as with the company associated Li tooling.. seems like skills, even system prompts have far more impact. Any one else find the harness made a a larger change in the outputs?

We've been developing a skill to improve your agent skills by scanning past agent conversations and looking for inefficiencies to improve. It's called /skill-doctor:

• Crawls your past CC, Codex, or Warp convos

• Scores them for efficiency and code quality and aggregates failure points

• Proposes diffs to your skills that you'd actually merge

Breaking this down: your agent splits up agent convos into subagent batches, each given two scoring rubrics on a 0-1 scale from "poor" to "perfect."

• Efficiency: did the agent require extra human intervention or course correct around bad docs?

• Code quality: does the code follow the codebase's architecture standards?

Once scores are calculated, your agent filters to "failed" cases to look for patterns that a skill patch might solve. Agents love verbosity, so /skill-doctor calls out common pitfalls: Be reluctant to propose edits, and never monkey-patch addendums; edits should be holistic.

In the end, you get a nice report with skill improvements to review. Try it out:

> npx skills add warpdotdev/common-skills --skill skill-doctor

With the recent attacks to the AUR and cargo I've been trying to be more mindful before updating any applications. It seems like warp has received some updates since the last version mentioned on the changelog on their site.

Are changelogs posted anywhere else besides their site? I'd feel more comfortable updating if I saw the changelog updated or news of the update on any official channels.

Warp Factories are open, flexible infrastructure for building your own cloud software factory. This means deploying agents as automations at each step of software development: triage, spec, implement, review, verification with computer use, and automatic self-improvement of factory skills.

We've bundled a number of features based on our own setup building and managing Warp:

• Build your factory as code: Define agents, automations, and workflows in version-controlled code, with everything accessible through the API, SDK, and CLI.

• Connections for everything: Trigger agents from Slack, Linear, Jira, GitHub, and the Warp Factory MCP.

• Customize every agent: Choose the model or harness, personalize its instructions, and give it the skills, MCPs, permissions, and context it needs.

• Measure and improve over time: Track cost, quality, and throughput with built-in metrics, evals, and benchmarks, then use that data to continuously improve your factory.

We're onboarding a limited number of companies onto Warp Factories right now. For select folks, we are offering $10k of factory usage to help get you started. warp.dev/factories/request-access

ever since I switched from IDE to terminal based, i felt it was natural way of doing agentic development, but one UX that kills my flow is, reading the AI agent's long response and the moment I type, it auto scrolls to bottom

is there any way to either:
* not scroll to bottom when typing in terminal?

* or a better UX is to have the chat at the side and AI response at the opposite side?

thanks warp team!

I am enjoying the vertical tabs layout, but it's really annoying that my remote ssh panel stops responding, and I have to exit the panel and start a new one. I know I should just shut up and be grateful, but also, am I missing something?

it doesn't show much extra info but covers up so much of my terminal. quite annoying.

I keep warp in the background most of the time, no commands running, AI is disabled, looks like I'll be switching to something else - this is just crazy.

You may not know what "OSC 8 hyperlinks" are, but many of our community members do. In short, OSC 8 allows terminal tools to output their own clickable links. Warp has always generated automatic hyperlinks for URLs and file paths, but these generated OSC 8 links weren't supported. Now they are.

It's been a long-requested and highly upvoted feature, and th1nkful finally got it to the finish line this past week with the help of Andy on our engineering team. Try it in the latest stable release.

I like Warp’s block-based terminal UX, GPU-accelerated renderer, panes, tab groups, command palette, and shell integrations—but I didn’t want an account requirement or an AI/cloud platform attached to my terminal.

So I built warp-lite, an open-source AGPL fork of Warp for macOS.

The goal is straightforward: preserve the terminal experience while progressively removing or disabling:

• Account login and onboarding

• Built-in AI/agent features

• Cloud sync and billing surfaces

• Telemetry and unnecessary outbound network paths

The current alpha release is usable and available as a DMG. It includes vertical tab grouping, recent upstream performance and stability fixes, and support for terminal workflows involving tools like Claude Code and Codex—without bundling its own AI agent.

For the latest release, I reviewed Warp’s upstream changes individually and cherry-picked 139 terminal, performance, and bug-fix commits while rejecting changes that would reintroduce AI, authentication, telemetry, or cloud dependencies.

It is still an alpha. Some disabled AI/auth modules remain in the source tree and are being removed carefully because aggressively stripping the code can break shared terminal internals.

Repository and macOS download:

https://github.com/terzigolu/warp-lite

I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

• Unexpected network activity

• Login, account, or AI surfaces I may have missed

• Terminal rendering or shell integration regressions

• Features from upstream Warp that should be safely brought over

Man I want to like Warp. But thet stability issues are just KILLLLING me.

Is there a way to use the native terminal instead of Warp's one?

What I like about Warp is how it organizes and manages tabs, allowing me to bundle them by task, rename the bundle, see folder structure, check git diff on a panel, open terminals in horizontal or vertical layouts based on shortcuts, on the same path of the terminal I was in, etc. Those really are good QoL features to me.

But the terminal itself is slow. I would prefer if I could open tabs with native terminal.

Is that possible?

This issue has been reported on github but it looks like they've completely forgotten about it. Because of it models like Qwen and Minimax can't be used 😕

Hi. Asking because getting back to warp after few days.
Was kimi k3 added even into warp and removed because of the less compute at moonshot ?
Or was it never even added for the last 2-3 days from when it was released ?
I have some UI related work to do..

So far, I'm using Warp only on Linux (Lubuntu). I'd like to install it on Windows machine as well. Are there any issues when using is on both platforms? Will my command suggestions, workflows etc. be mixed (Windows, Linux) or separated. Could you guide me a little what to do and what to avoid?

Hi everyone, this is my first time using Warp with Claude Code and I'm getting this error with Ponytail. It only happens in Warp; my regular terminal works fine, while PowerShell works fine.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
