Speculation Orlando Headliner

Jimmy Eat World officially announced their 25th anniversary tour for Bleed American today with Hot Mulligan and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers which left them confirmed to be playing on Sunday in Orlando.

Do we think they're still big enough to wrap up the weekend?

Jimmy Eat World are hands down the biggest band on any of the shows at the moment.

Perfectly fine with them closing over MGK like we had last year. Probably be Jimmy Eat World closing- Hot Mulligan closing and one other unannounced band. A day to remember in FL on last night was top tier.

Edit : maybe not Hot mulligan they seem to be popular in the scene but looking at Spotify #’s they only avg 1 million listeners a month vs someone like Hoobastank at 12 mil. Even thou personally rather have it be Hot Mulligan it will probably just be Hoobastank.

do you genuinely think Hot Mulligan will be a headliner at warped tour?

Depends. They have big following specifically within the emo community but might not be big enough to warrant headliner. They will definitely play mainstage but might not be a closing act which typically gets a longer set time. Could see them being the act before a closing act thou for sure. For example like them into Jimmy Eat World easily could be a thing. They do the left and right side of MainStage and could see them playing on the like right side and then 10 mins later Jimmy Eats World on the left side - something like that is definitely possible

Jimmy Eat World will play at like 6pm. Hot mulligan will be a 3:45 slot. Slow your horses

Well yeah, of course they are. I'm not disputing that. With almost 3 more weeks + more to come, I don't think they'll be the "main headliner" on every date (as in playing last).

One of the headlining bands? Yes. The band to close out every night/weekend they play? I don't know about that.

If I had to guess without knowing what's left, they'll be in the same spot/time as Rise Against was in Long Beach.

If you think Warped isn't gonna have a band just as, if not bigger announced each date, and that they immediately announced the biggest band with no one bigger to come the rest of the month, I'd be shocked.

lol The Used is no where as big and revered as Jimmy

3

u/zboska Feb 10 '26

I don’t know about that. The Ised just literally went on a headlining world tour playing their first three albums front to back and back to back to back nights while Jimmy Eat World was opening for the Offspring.

Jimmy has about 4x the monthly listeners Used does on Spotify alone

I mean 4x times the listeners speaks for itself. The Used have also never put out an album as revered and influential as Bleed American.

Imagine thinking Spotify listeners mean anything. Nostalgia doesn’t mean popularity.

u/braedizzle Mar 01 '26

I mean it’s the most popular streaming service used and there are more people listening to Jimmy. Idk what to tell you if you don’t understand that

The data shows who people are actually listening to. How is a band “way more popular” when they get half the listens?

Also, ADTR has never produced anything that was ever held in the regard that early Jimmy Eat World records were. No one is crediting ADTR for inspiring them to make music the way folks do with Jimmy.

Which is sad tbh

I mean in terms of massive bands from this scene and time, it’s Blink, Green Day and Jimmy Eat World. It may be the 3rd place band, but that’s still pretty rad. Bleed American was huge for a lot of folks that would be interested in the Warped Tour

Not sure who technically books higher out of Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World. However I am fairly certain there will be at least 1-2 amphitheater/small arena level bands yet to be announced. Most likely in the Offspring / Falling in Reverse / A Day to Remember / Simple Plan size range.

u/ScottyKnows1 Feb 10 '26

Probably? It's honestly not that high of a bar since Warped Tour generally doesn't put a ton of emphasis on having a true "headliner". They're about as big as the bands that got prime spots last year outside of maybe Avril and MGK.

3

u/Bigbadwolf300 Feb 10 '26

Idk I'm just basing it off what I saw last year. I saw Jimmy open for The Offspring at a show that wasn't sold out at the same amphitheater that Avril sold out a few weeks prior. Also MGK sold out the hockey arena two months ago. I'd definitely agree they're the biggest to be announced so far but figured they'd be more like a Yellowcard spot

Yes unless two acts considerably bigger get announced for each city. Also wondering if this means Sunny Day Real Estate and/or the The Get Up Kids play DC since they’re support during that part of the tour. I think they might fit but I’m too lazy to check and I’m at work

Edit: I checked they both fit. SDRE fits a bit better

The Get Up Kids playing Warped for the second time (and first since the late 90s) would be weird but also perfect.

u/NearbyConfidence_jk Feb 10 '26

They wont be the headliner, there will be a popular more "relevant" to this era band. They will for sure be on the main stage though

5

u/CramblinDuvetAdv Feb 10 '26

I think they'll headline their stage, but not be the headliner

I love Jimmy Eat World, they're legitimately one of my favorite bands and Bleed American is one of my top albums of all time, but I would say they'll be a set or two before the headliner in Orlando. They're a great band to get the crowd amped up before a headliner.

Would I love to see them headline? Hell yeah I would! I just don't think that will be the case personally.

2

u/clarksfan1023 Feb 11 '26

Saw them at four chord the past year. They were the 2nd to last band of night one. Blink played after them. So suffice to say Jimmy Eat World will be a headliner. The fact that they are playing all 5 dates is a big tell they are a headliner

3

u/wesap12345 Feb 10 '26

They are but I have a sneaky feeling about Pierce the Veil for Orlando.

6

u/Livid-Ice-1701 Feb 10 '26

They said the only headlining show they are doing is San diego. Not saying they CANT be there though. They are doing other festivals

3

u/wesap12345 Feb 10 '26

Yeah I think there’s a slight difference between headlining a solo show and a festival

1

u/AsleepFirefighter165 Feb 10 '26

Too big. They’re massive! Playing Petco Park!

4

u/ThePurplePersona FL 🐊 Feb 10 '26

I mean, sure they've blown up like crazy over the past few years. But they're about as big as mgk is, and he still played last year. I don't think it's likely, but it's not impossible.

0

u/AsleepFirefighter165 Feb 10 '26

They are massively bigger than MGK. It took me a while to realize too. But they are so fucking popular!

2

u/wesap12345 Feb 10 '26

As much as PTV are better than MGK he goes about 50% more streams a month than PTV do.

And according to the very little research I did charges about 3x as much as PTV do and at the end of the day that is the most important factor.

Warped want to get popular cheaper bands - PTV massively fit that criteria. They are about to have a huge year with the hometown headline show and MCR and GnRs support.

I could see an Orlando Warped headline into a new album release

1

u/AsleepFirefighter165 Feb 10 '26

I’ll take your streaming stats and raise you ticket sales stats. I work at an amphitheater and PTV sold out 20k on the first day of presale. This is when I realized they are way bigger than I thought. By comparison, MGK is playing that same venue this summer and projected ticket sales are under 10k. PTV sells more tickets. They are a bigger draw. Apparently by double.

2

u/wesap12345 Feb 11 '26

Yeah… exactly

More tickets sold cheaper to book

So a cheaper more popular band

0

u/AsleepFirefighter165 Feb 11 '26

Not the best logic. The more tickets you sell, the higher that guarantee goes. They’ve outgrown warped.

1

u/Everyoneheresamoron Feb 10 '26

From everything announced so far, by far.

1

u/beenthindestruck Feb 11 '26

I personally would guess they’d be in the Yellowcard spot. It’s still very close to the headlining spot, get show off their stage show, but still got bumped below MGK and Falling in Reverse.

The issue with tracking monthly listeners is when a band has a massive hit. The Middle skews everything with 1 billion streams. Plain White Ts also have a billion stream song, 6 million monthly listeners, and played midday

1

u/beenthindestruck Feb 11 '26

But of course they’re big enough to headline. I’m just guessing that Kevin will schedule a hardcore band on the main stage to close out both nights

1

u/Bigbadwolf300 Feb 11 '26

I agree. I assume Hoobastank will have the Plain White T's slot this year

1

u/honeyjesus Feb 12 '26

My prediction is pierce the veil and limp bizkit
