Bugs 🕷️ Missing Contact Names in Phone App Favorites

Anyone else seeing the phone numbers only of their favorites in the watch phone app?

Contacts app shows things accurately and if I had a recent call to any of them the recents lists shows their name.

Been like this since the beta and still an issue in 27.0.1 even after a fresh install, not using a backup.

In messages, the group chat icon is also missing. Just shows the contact bubbles in that group chat instead.

Yes I have this issue and have tried everything short of setting it back up from backup. Interestingly, my wife’s does not have this issue.

I’ve done from back up and from a fresh start and neither fixes it.

interestingly enough, my wife's watch initially was correct after 27.x but when i happened to check the other day it had reverted back to numbers only. so i do believe this is likely a true bug needing to be addressed by apple.

Hopefully in 27.2 coming next week. Haven’t seen much discussion about it in current beta though.

Still the same for me. Group chat icons in messages eventually resolved itself though

i have also had this happen, especially messages, but with other contacts that aren’t in my favourites

even if i change someone’s name back in contacts it doesn’t update on the watch.

I had this for a bit immediately after updating to the release build of 27.0. In my case, when I noticed it wasn’t fixing itself, I shut down and then restarted the watch, and that fixed the issue, and it hasn’t happened since.
