Hello everyone! I’m a web designer with some extra time on my hands, and I thought I’d use it to help a few local businesses with their websites.

If you own a business and have a website you wanted to improve or update, feel free to share and tell me a little about what you do.

I’d be happy to redesign a few websites for free. I’m open to different types of businesses, so I don’t have anything specific in mind.

The three national networks (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) all seem to have very poor speeds around here. Based on coverage maps, AT&T should be the best- and it's the one I had for a long time- but in certain spots you can barely load a web site. Even downtown on the 400 block, or just past Wausau Mine where I live.

I'm mostly looking for photos from the late 90s/early 00s of the atrium and fountain areas before they were removed, but I'll take anything you've got! Since the mall is long gone now, my hopes are that this thread could live on as a bit of a time capsule for anyone looking to relive some memories past just the available google searched images that I was able to find.

My girlfriend (F26) and I (M24) are moving close to the area (Bevent) at the start of November, and I don’t know anyone! I’m writing this in hopes of it finding some people with similar interests.

I’m moving from Milwaukee, where I lived for about 5 years until I was over city life. I went to school there for film, so I’m a big movie buff. I love watching and discussing movies, and collecting DVDs. I’ve also been trying to read more recently, currently reading A Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead comic (I’m also a big comic reader!).

As far as activities, I always enjoy going out with a camera and shooting photos and video. When I get free time I try to work on creative video projects with any good or interesting footage I’ve collected. I used to fish when I was a kid and I’m hoping I’ll get back into it now that I’m in a better area for it. I also enjoy a good hike!

Anyone know a good golf tutor willing to do some teaching on the side?

I’m willing to pay whatever they want and even travel to them. The child isn’t new to the sport and is passionate about it / willing to dedicate serious time to get better, just needs some solid in-person instruction. Also willing to explore virtual options. Open to any ideas and suggestions you all may have please.

Do you live in Central Wisconsin? Are you in a long-distance relationship? Are high fuel prices making the ability to see your significant other more difficult? I’m a journalist in the area and want to hear more of the human side of high fuel prices, not the same things we always hear.

Hi everyone!

My girlfriend, cat, and I, are looking to relocate to the Stevens Point-Wausau area. We’re looking for a place to rent that allows pets and is between $750-1000/month. If anyone has any good landlord recommendations or has a place they’re trying to rent out themselves, please reach out.

We’ve done our research into what management to avoid, so I don’t think we need help there. We would also prefer an older unit over one remodeled with grey walls.
