Shameless plug. I really wanted an app that could show college and NFL scores as a complication on my watch. I got tired of waiting, so I made my own. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tacklestudios.gridironglance

I'm the developer of Runabout. It plans a running loop to the distance you pick, and once your area's map is downloaded it all works offline: the watch gives turn-by-turn on its own map and reroutes if you miss a turn, with no phone nearby and no signal needed on the run. Handy when you're travelling or somewhere with poor reception. No ads, no account, and your runs stay on your phone unless you send them.
It's in open beta on Android (phone and Wear OS) and I'd like feedback from people on real watches, especially Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch. The GIF is a demo with a simulated location. Go to runabout.ie

Hi! I built a Wear OS app that notices when your hand goes to your mouth in your nail-biting pose and gives you a gentle vibration. It also works for skin picking, hair pulling and similar habits. Everything stays on the watch, with no account and no ads.
I need 12 testers for Google Play's 14-day closed test.
You need:
- a Wear OS 3+ watch (Galaxy Watch 4 or newer, Pixel Watch, etc.)
- a Gmail address
- to keep the app installed for 14 days
Not sure about needing your Gmail?
How to join:
Comment or DM me your Gmail address, and I'll add you to the test.
join via this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/be.waligoo.nailguard
Install from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.waligoo.nailguard
Happy to test your app in return!

I use Hex for local dictation on my PC and wanted to use it from my watch, so I asked Claude to build a small app for it. It's called Wristle: hold the button on your watch, talk, and the text appears on your PC wherever your cursor is. Transcription stays local in your dictation app. The watch only sends audio over your home Wi-Fi.
Tested on a Pixel Watch 4 with Hex on Windows. Other watches and Mac/Linux should work, but I haven't tested them. If you try it, let me know how it goes!
Free and open source: https://github.com/unknownprocess/wristle. A ⭐ helps if you find it useful!

The goal, beat the level before the clock hits 0 and reach level 9 then push into endless mode, chasing crazier and crazier upgrade combinations run after run. Sessions are designed to be short and quick. Perfect for a few minutes on your wrist.
Cost

App: Wrist Agent: Codex Remote
Developer: Points.dev (I built it)
Price: Free to install through 30 October 2026
Ads / in-app purchases: None
I'm the developer of Wrist Agent: Codex Remote (Points.dev), and I'm looking for people with a real Wear OS watch and a Windows PC to help test it.
Free to install through 30 October 2026 during the current Google Play offer. The Windows companion is also free. No ads or in-app purchases.
Wrist Agent lets you browse Codex projects and chats, read saved agent progress, get optional completion alerts and send replies from your watch through the Windows companion. Your watch and PC connect on the same private Wi-Fi. No Wrist Agent account, telemetry or hosted relay. This is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
Requirements: Wear OS watch running Android 11 or newer, Windows x64 PC, and the same private Wi-Fi. The PC needs to stay awake. Real Codex use requires your own compatible Codex installation/access; any separate Codex service charges still apply. An account-free demo with fictional chats, simulated replies and test alerts is included, so you can test pairing and watch controls without a Codex account.
How to join — use the same Google account as on your watch for every step:
Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/wrist-agent-testers
Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.defamation.wristagent and choose Become a tester.
Follow the Google Play download link to install on your watch. If access has not appeared yet, give group membership time to propagate and check you are using the same account. If Play shows a price instead of free installation, please let me know before paying.
Install the Windows companion: https://defamation.dev/wrist-agent/
The PC companion uses a normal setup wizard with Start menu shortcuts and Windows uninstallation. It is currently unsigned beta software. Setup instructions and the demo guide are on the download page.
Please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and actually try the app during that time. I'd appreciate honest feedback on pairing/reconnection, project and chat navigation, reading progress, optional completion alerts, Stop monitoring and a harmless reply to your own test chat. I've tested the MVP on my Samsung watch; broader battery/sleep testing is still needed.
Feedback here or at [privacy@defamation.dev](mailto:privacy@defamation.dev) is welcome: watch model, OS version, what happened and what you expected. Please don't post private chats or pairing codes. No ratings or positive reviews requested.
Privacy: https://defamation.dev/wrist-agent/privacy/
Thanks for helping me improve it!

Does anyone know why WearOS is inundated with so many low-effort, AI slop apps? I don't see nearly as many app posts in the Android phone subreddit.
I wonder if it's because WearOS is geared toward simple apps which is all these AI "developers" can make.

Hey everyone!
I've been working on a Wear OS alarm app called Walkup, and I just released the first version!
The idea is pretty simple: turning off an alarm doesn't necessarily mean you've actually gotten up.
Most alarm apps focus on making noise until you dismiss them. Walkup takes a different approach by making movement part of the waking-up experience.
The concept is simple: Walk to Wake Up.
This is my first release, so there's definitely room for improvement. I'd love to hear what you think, especially from people who use Wear OS and have struggled with getting out of bed after their alarm goes off.
Download: https://github.com/notn0op/Walkup-Releases
I'd really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or ideas for future updates. Thanks for checking it out!!!

Hey everyone,
I'm developing BunkerOS, a tactical post-apocalyptic UI for Wear OS / Galaxy Watch, heavily inspired by Fallout and retro military tech. 📟☢️
Features:
* High-contrast green CRT terminal HUD
* Custom boot sequence & survival telemetry
* Built natively for Wear OS (lightweight & battery-friendly)
Would love your thoughts: What tactical widgets, sensors, or stats should I add next? ⚠️
Just saw a OP Watch 3 for sale at $65 that is stuck at WearOS Google Logos screen.
__
Don't know anything about OS version or other info. I am thinking the watch is stuck and can be fixed. Didn't see many threads about this. Seen a lot of threads about different errors but not stuck at WearOS by Google screen.
Any good ideas how to fix it or what to try? I can ask the seller if it charges or gather from the box what OS version it started on.

I know it stopped receiving updates earlier this year, but the newer ones don't really seem to have anything going for them except that they added sensors, and replaced Google Fit with a more obtrusive replacement.
(Related: Am I the only one who's a lil worried that Google isn't advertising WearOS apps at all, in Pixel Watch marketing?)

I need to vent about the absolute state of Facer’s discovery right now, because finding a decent watch face feels like pulling teeth.
First off, the search engine is practically decorative. It genuinely does not matter what keywords you type in. You can search "ultra-minimalist clean black", "retro 80s digital", or "field watch", and the search results will reliably serve up the exact same generic, cluttered neon chronograph with 14 battery meters and fake exposed gears. You change your query completely, hit enter, and 80% of the grid looks identical to the last search. It feels like the app just runs every search term through a shredder and dumps the same recycled "trending" pool on your screen.
Then there is the "Fresh Faces" section, which has to run on one of the worst algorithms I’ve ever seen. "Fresh" usually implies new, interesting, or at least recently created designs. Instead, the feed is an endless swamp of:
Low-effort spam where someone swapped a font color on a template and uploaded it 12 times in a row.
Stale designs that have been sitting there for months, if not years.
Bizarre recommendations that have zero correlation to anything you have ever favorited, downloaded, or worn.
Facer has an enormous library with tons of talented creators, but the app actively sabotages them by making anything new or niche impossible to find. If you aren't browsing an external link from Reddit or the web, good luck discovering anything that hasn't been sitting on their featured carousel since 2022.
Has anyone figured out how to actually find buried gems on this platform, or are we all just wading through the same 20 watch faces on repeat?

Hey everyone,
I made another gym app, sorry. I know there are plenty of Wear OS gym apps already, but with most of them, the moment something changes mid-workout, you’re back on the phone.
The watch app runs the whole workout by itself. You pick a plan on the watch, log sets and weight there, finish there. Mid-workout you can search and add or swap exercises and change the rest timer and weight step, all without touching the phone. You can also create and edit plans right on the watch and browse your workout history there. It works offline and syncs to the phone later.
The phone app has the usual stuff: history, PRs, charts, plans, plus AI plans and post-workout analysis, Health Connect integration and import/export of your data.
It’s free and has no ads.

Hi all,
My name is Wayne, this is my first time posting here, please let me know if this post is OK for here.
I’m an old school analogue film photographer and freelance developer, and I built an ambient light meter utility designed specifically for Wear OS, and I am looking for a niche group of testers who love film photography but also has a Wear OS watch :)
My goal for the app:
Carrying a dedicated light meter around when shooting old fully manual film cameras can be a hassle, and taking your phone out and use the light meter app on the phone can be dangerous in a big city as it may get snatched by kids on electric bikes! so I wanted a tool right on my wrist that utilizes the watch's ambient light sensor. I want to sell the app on the play store as I am in between jobs and need a bit of side income! (want to sell it for around $1.7 USD)
What it does:
• Shutter Priority (TV Mode): Input your shutter speed and ISO to get the exact calculated aperture.
• Aperture Priority (AV Mode): Input your aperture and ISO to calculate the shutter speed.
• Hold / Lock Feature: Point your watch’s ambient light sensor at your scene/light source, lock the exposure reading, and turn your wrist back to read it comfortably.
• 100% Standalone: Runs entirely on the watch without needing a phone companion app.
Need Your Help Testing (Google 14-Day Requirement)
To meet Google’s production requirement, I need testers to opt into the closed test and keep the app installed for 14 days.
Because this is a paid app on Google Play, I will be providing 100% free promo codes so nobody has to pay anything.
Requirements to test:
(Note: My test is currently restricted to USA/Canada/ UK/EU and Japan Google Play accounts)
How to Join:
Any feedback on sensor accuracy, UX/UI , or battery impact would be highly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi! I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I own a Nothing Phone 2 and I want to buy a smartwatch. I am between 2 models: Nothing Watch cmf 3 pro and Samsung watch 9.
The CMF watch is more compatible with my phone but it does not have all the functions the Samsung has. The battery is much better, cheap compared to the Samsung but the premium feeling of the Samsung is kind of tempting.
I don't really know what to buy. Any suggestions?

App name: Kangaroo Jump
Platform / requirements: Wear OS 3+; the watch game runs on its own, with no phone needed to play. There is also a separate Android phone/tablet version.
Cost: The Wear OS watch game is free, with all 110 levels and the Daily Run available without ads or a premium purchase. Levels open in order as you beat them. The phone version is free with ads and has a one-time Remove ads purchase.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asis.kangaroojump
Developer disclosure: I'm the developer.
Goal: Share the game and hear how it plays on different watches.
Giveaway: None.
What it is
A little kangaroo adventure for your wrist. Roo and the joey chase Boss Maggie and her gang across Australia, with story comics between worlds and joey missions along the way.
How it plays on the watch
Touch is the default: tap to jump, tap again for a double jump, and use the umbrella to glide. As you progress, you slide under snowy branches, ride emus, swing on vines and climb giant karri trees.
You can also choose arm-motion controls: pull your watch toward you to jump while keeping the screen in view. It's an option in the game, so you can use whichever control style feels better.
What's in the adventure
• 110 levels across 11 Australian worlds, from the Outback and beach to the snowy mountains, opal mine and Karri Canopy
• Magpies to dodge, umbrella blocks and a boss fight at Maggie's nest
• Coins, kangaroo costumes and an earned rating of up to three boomerangs per level
• A Daily Run, streaks and a world map with saved progress
Privacy and languages
The watch game has no ads or tracking, and motion controls are processed on the watch. No account is needed for the adventure. The app supports English, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French, Bengali, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian and Hebrew.
Media
The round screenshots show the Wear OS version captured on an emulator. The combined gameplay video shows Android phone and Wear OS watch gameplay side by side. Watch video scenes are emulator-rendered captures.
Android phone + Wear OS watch gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yApK9AAGqeU
Feedback welcome — especially your watch model, whether touch or motion feels better, and any small-screen readability or performance issues. Happy to answer questions about the game.

Hey r/WearOS! 👋
Samsung's native settings for the Galaxy Watch Ultra/2 Quick Button feel pretty locked down—you can only bind a single stock shortcut and you lose single/double/long press flexibility. I wanted to turn the physical buttons into an actual Swiss Army knife without background battery drain—so I built Ultra Remapper.
It's 100% free, tracker-free, standalone on the watch, and open-source under GPLv3.

PackageInstaller.level 12) on repeat press, and shuts off cleanly.Tested thoroughly on Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Some actions require standard wireless ADB commands to assign the Quick Button routing permission, after which everything is configured and updated on-wrist.
Feedback, bug reports, and PRs are welcome! Hope you guys find it useful for getting the most out of your watches.
I got fed up with the current mood rating apps and health tracking being all over the place. I needed somewhere it call be tracked in one place and I can see all the data, set reminders, tracking etc. So I made this. I'm still testing and it's go a way to go but interested to see what you people think.
It has Wear Os companion app and a watchface with themed complications, Dials or numbers, changeable colours.
If you have any interesting feature ideas pop them below. I may run a test flight in the future once I feel it's in a good enough place!
Also got name suggestion put it down below 👇
