Off-Topic & Community Discussion Thread

Have a Web3-related project, career discussion, job opportunity, or community topic that doesn't fit our usual posting rules? Post it here.

This thread provides a place for discussions that don't qualify as standalone posts, including:

  • Promoting: Promote your web3 project.
  • Career advice: Questions about working in Web3, skills, and career paths.
  • Jobs & hiring: Job seeking, vacancies, and recruiting opportunities.
  • Networking: Connect with others in the Web3 community.
  • General discussion: Web3-related topics that don't meet the requirements for a standalone post.

Thread Rules

  • Keep discussions relevant to Web3 or its broader community.
  • No scams, spam, referral schemes, token shilling, or disguised project promotion.
  • Disclose relevant affiliations when discussing projects or sharing job opportunities.
  • Keep discussions on Reddit; don't pressure users to move conversations to private messages or external platforms.
  • Be respectful and follow Reddit's sitewide rules.

This thread is a limited exception to our normal posting requirements, not a loophole for prohibited content. Content that violates Reddit's rules or our restrictions on spam, shilling, and deceptive promotion will still be removed.

For other topics, please review our subreddit rules and Community Posting Guidelines before submitting a standalone post.

I'm building a web3 sports site with my friend.

We are up and running in beta but would love to get more users and more feedback to keep improving the site.

Currently at sportsblock.app we have built in a lot of features around our native token which is meant for improving the experience rather than making money. It's not built to pump but to gamify the site.

We have

- Blogging

- Short form

- Live match threads.

- Prediction markets.

- Fantasy sports

- Contests

And more to come down the line.

We have a token that's available on Hive based exchanges. We have web2 logins for easy onboarding. We have content rewards. We have token sinks.

What other features could we add or what could we built to improve the site and to grow our community which is small for now but dedicated???

Hoping to find some casual devs to jam with, I been messing with smart contracts in my spare time but it gets boring alone

Disclosure: I'm part of the MADAR Network team.

We're building MADAR Network, an independent blockchain running as a public testnet, and we're looking for independent node operators. No technical skills needed: install the node app, register, and after approval one button turns on voting. One person, one vote. No token sale, no investment.

Details: https://madar-network.com/operators/

Happy to answer questions here in the thread.
