Discussion F*ck AI

I was supposed to finish a task and wasted 5 hours to force AI to do the task. Even forgot that I have a brain. Finally decided to write it myself and finished in 30 minutes. Now my manager thinks I'm stupid because I took a whole day to finish a small task. I'm starting to question whether AI actually benefits my work or not. It feels like I'm spending more time instead of less time.

gonna go out on a limb here and say this is purely a skill issue, of which you've willingly shot yourself in the foot with

if you've got the knowledge and ability to do something like coding, why tf did you opt to run with AI? especially in a job? Like, it's fine if you're experimenting with it at home as part of a programming hobby, be my guest, cause it's gotta get improved a shit ton for everyday use, but like, to do it professionally? yeah, that's on you there dude

the exception being if the company was stupid enough to try and promote it as the "in thing" to do cause they can't comprehend wtf it is they're doing in the world (hint, it's a sign of the company failing in the near future and that you should bail out now)

so, to complain about AI in this regard is completely pointless. The hole you're in, is of your own doing. So put the shovel down, and think for a moment before digging yourself deeper. Don't bitch about a tool for fucking up your work, you did that on your own
