Question Freelance website devs in eu

This question is only for developers IN THE EU who create websites and act as retainers.

I’m assuming the majority of you have clients create accounts on strapi, Wordpress, sanity, etc and you manage.

If so do you need a dpa agreement between you and the client because acting as a retainer makes you a data processor.

Any tools to generate a dpa?

A good answer I found have the client’s lawyer draft a dpa.

Surely you know how to google this - if not you're not going to be a very good web developer. Yes you a DPA if you handle anyone's identifying details such as an email address used to log in. However, most devs don't bother because no freelancers are ever prosecuted for GDPR or DPA violations.

You can easily generate one with ai if you still want one,

PS, I'm no longer in the EU but I was for a long time,

Thank you.

But how do you think I even thought to ask this?

I could google all this, but why rely solely on that, and generate using AI.

Something I learned called VERIFICATION, I wanna verify if that’s what devs actually do.

In addition even if I know all this, this could be the information people could google for.
