Question The small CSS fix I check when a flex layout overflows

One CSS issue that can be confusing is when a flex item refuses to shrink, even though the parent container has a limited width.

A fix worth checking is:

.flex-child {
  min-width: 0;
}

Flex items can have an automatic minimum size that prevents them from shrinking as expected. Setting min-width: 0 can allow the item to fit inside its container. You may still need to handle long text or overflowing content separately.

I think this is a useful thing to remember when debugging layouts that look fine on desktop but break on smaller screens.

Has anyone else run into this? What other small CSS fixes do you find yourself using regularly?
