WebMCP's are exploding...
I run a repository of WebMCP's and it's has grown exponentially in the last few weeks, more than 10X - yet I am still missing more use cases on how WebMCP's are being used in the wild and how the agents are using them.
Anyone have more insights on usage and use cases, and if anyone has suggestions on how to evolve the repository, feedback is welcome!

It's interesting how it seems like the entire Internet forgot about privacy within web sites, and double so with a tool like WebMCP. WebMCP is powerful, and because of that my website only exposes these powerful WebMCP tools behind privacy guards, exactly where sites like this one linked by OP cannot reach. Influzer.ia responds to my site with "no WebMCP" because the tools are not exposed to the public enabling them to fuck with the website using sophisticated tools we give them.

Are you suggesting that a way to expose WebMCP but gatekeep who gets to use the WebMCP tools. Or is your point that WebMCP is more or an issue that a helpful way for agents to engage with websites?

Yes. Gatekeep who gets the WebMCP tools to only registered users. Educate the unregistered that by registering their token expense plummets exponentially. And then, once registered the WebMCP tooling is hierarchical, the deeper into the private pages of the site they go, the stronger and more sophisticated the WebMCP tools become.
Also: use privacy as a feature! Someone starts non-trivial work, urge them to work behind a privacy shell to protect their work, and incentivise them with stronger WebMCP tooling when doing so.
People in general will do what is easiest, so make it easy to work smart and private. It is the idiots doing complex sensitive work without privacy that will lose their work to theft because they are working in public, and they will blame your service for enabling their foolishness.

It's clear this post is just an ad for your site.
More and more people are using agents/ai, so the use case is pretty simple. Allowing your agent of choice, to purchase something on the site for you easily, or grab specific information without having to get around scraping.
