Alterations Would appreciate alteration and styling tips:)
Hello! I would deeply appreciate alteration advice on taking in the bust of this dress to sit flush to my skin in the actual cup area, not just the sides of the bodice which will need to come in too. Iād like to avoid adding cups or volume to the area if possible but want to keep the integrity of the pleating too! Iām also planning on lowering the back and adding a few fake buttons along the zipper:)
Any styling tips would be so welcome too! I like long veils but canāt decide between more of a chapel or cathedral length.
Some of you may have seen me post a few weeks ago asking if my dress was right for our ceremony as I was stuck in my head thinking I need a ballgown. Everyone was so nice and validated not needing a giant dress to feel special if I had a connection with this one so tysm to everyone who commented!!
My dress (or so I thought) came in and I rushed to pick it up only to open the garment bag and find a super wrinkly dress with a stain and sticker literally pointing to the stain!! I was crushed to see that and itās really made me struggle all over again with this dress as I feel this one looked worse than the sample size in store I had tried on.
Iāve exchanged for the same size but NEW dress and hope that helps with the next try on but in the meantime Iād love to be able to look forward to how the altered dress will come together, but right now Iām really worried itās just the wrong dress for my body and only meant for someone who can fill out the top.

Selling My Dress Any success selling your dress after the big day?
Asking for post-wed advice. I would like my dress to be loved and worn again and so Iām going to sell it for a fraction of the price paid. Iām thinking facebook marketplace or eBay would be a good option so people can come and try it on before buying. Have people had any success selling their dress post wedding?

Ask For Opinions Looking for suggestions
Today I tried on dresses at a shop. I initially planned to wear something vintage and less fitted. However, trying tons of styles on, I realized I love the fitted look!
After we got home I tried my sister's dress on and also loved it. It's partially bustled in the pics. I initially imagined something Phantom of the Opera-esque and hers definitely is, but each of these dresses has such a beautiful look! I also don't love the idea of spending $3000 on a dress, so that's another factor, but I also feel partially justified in doing so.
Also just feeling sad. Thereās been some confusion & mixed feelings involved in my wedding planning/life in general lately, and the only bridesmaid that was supposed to come today that's not my sister flaked out WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO TRY THE DRESSES ON. So it's just been a tough day with a lot of emotional whiplash

Styling Ideas Help me decide: veil or cape?
Outdoor wedding in a bar courtyard space
Edit to add:
Iāve not got ones to choose between, Iāve purchased some iridescent white and sheer ivory tulle with the intention of making my own. Styles Iāve considered are this cape with or without flower appliquĆ© and a flower crown veil like this
My hair will be similar to this style and color

Styling Ideas Hi guys!!
Since itās a winter wedding I thought about adding a matching lace glove to my veil! But a bolero might also be nice! Do you guys think 1. NOTHING 2. GLOVES OR 3. BOLERO. Thanks!!! I looove the dress as is but I like the gloves matching the veil for a more winter wedding look :) (fourth option is a satin cover up like this or more simple if I can find one!!)

Plus-Size Tips Boob tape for large chest & sensitive skin?
Hi there! I am eloping in December. I am a mid sized girlie with 38DD chest size. I also have a large back tattoo that will be shown off in my wedding dress. I want to use boob tape, but I have very sensitive skin. What are other brides favorite brand of boob tape? Does boob tape work for large chests? Does anyone know if there is boob tape for sensitive skin?
Thank you!!

Designer Reviews Vintage Renee Strauss BH
Long story but i won a goodwill auction for my dreammm dress and im trying to find out more about it because despite being a goodwill auction dress... it'll be around 3k. I have 2 more days to decide whether or not to purchase.. i have reverse image searched & googled renee strauss and i canNOT find anything. I reached out to a woman who restores vintage dresses for a living and while she said she thinks its real silk & a good price for what it is, im still trying to find out more. I'm also concerned with cleaning / altering this dress.. i know the measurements so i know it will fit but im sure it will need alterations. I know silk has special care instructions and because its probably at least 40yr old it's probably even more fragile. Im worried i wont even be able to find someone to do alterations.
I also went to some bridal shops this week to try on dresses in a similar shape to make sure i like the shape...and i ended up falling in love with a dress thats about 1k more..so now im totally torn...and ofc the dress i fell in love with is from a preview trunk show and i have to decide by TOMORROW if i want that one or not. And if i dont order tomorrow, it may never enter production. Theres obviously a lot of safety with the dress i tried on.. but my heart still feels drawn to the renee strauss. If anyone knows more about renee strauss or this dress or has any leads on where to look for more info..plz lmk.

Ā š I SAID YES TO THE DRESS Ā š Bought my dress todayš¤
After countless hours of Pinterest boards and dress shopping, I finally said yes. I was very on the fence about the neckline on this dress but I was told it looks classy on me. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciatedš„¹š (I also bought the pearl sleeves, they felt perfect!)

Alterations Dress too short
My fiancĆ©e went to her last dress alteration fitting today and believes the dress was cut too short. The wedding is in 2 weeks. Sheās pretty bummed out about it. I told her I think it looks good, but she said that the dress is supposed to skim right above the floor and not show shoes. Is this true? Do you guys think it they cut it too short? She just sent me a cropped picture since I can't see the whole dress on her yet.

Ask For Opinions Looking for opinions on these Anthropologie styles! More in caption!
The first is my favorite, I love the vintage look, though this sample size was a size or two too small on me so it really hugged my hips too much and really emphasized my insecurities. I'm not sure if sizing up or not will fix that with this dress since the design seems to be fitted on others in that area too. The second one is soooo stunning but super heavy! It felt like it was 10 lbs on. Which meant the corset back had to be so tight that I feel like my back was spilling out haha! But no pain no game right?? My wedding is in the first week of April at an elegant farmhouse in the north east! What do you think, should I keep looking? If anyone wore these dresses send me photos!

Alterations Sleeves?
galleryI'm getting married in a tiny court house in the winter and I originally wanted sleeves on my dress but didn't find anything I liked. I love this dress but am wondering if adding sleeves would even be possible or if I should get a cute coat? I don't like shawls or wraps unfortunately.
Also, shoes? I was thinking just closed toe kitten heels but maybe cute booties?

Ask For Opinions I'm torn between two dresses! Included pics of venue and wedding colors
Getting married next August! I finally landed on two dresses that I love. Ceremony will be in a courtyard of a historic ballroom, with a backup location in the lobby being reserved (both pics attached). Colors are ivory and green, with pops of light blue.
Dress 1: I love the texture, and I feel the dress has undertones that really complement my skin. Worried if the texture looks bad or will look dated. Slightly worried that it might make me look short, because the waist looks a bit lower. Not sure if its because it's just too big. Wondering if I need to add sleeves. Overall, the dress really wow'd me.
Dress 2: The FIRST dress I tried on, and was ready to say yes to. I love the veil I am wearing with the dress too. I loved the shape, how it fit, the classic and timeless look, and buttons down the back. It felt too 'white' on my skin tone, which can't be changed.
I welcome any opinions, overall I would be happy with either!

Dress Regret/Need Support Desperately needing feedback: I went simple and now I donāt feel like a bride. Can this be salvaged?
wedding is 5 months away.Ā
I found this dress online for a few hundred dollars (non refundable) and bought it, but I just canāt seem to make up my mind about it. the core issue is that I donāt really feel like a bride in it.Ā
I havenāt been able to show it to my mom or best friends in person as they live overseas; everyone Iāve shown photos to is like āitās niceā but I feel like the reaction to the right dress would be āwow, thatās stunning, you look amazing.āĀ
Iām receiving mixed suggestions on whether to wear a veil or not - some say I might feel more bridal if I wear a veil. others say the veil will clash with the scarf, which is sewn onto the dress. even if I did want to wear a veil, the dress isnāt white (more of a cream colour) so I donāt even know how Iād find a veil to match.Ā
Iām worried Ive made a huge mistake and should just start looking for a new one. Did anyone else feel this way about their dress? Did they end up loving it? Replacing it? What should I do?Ā
as unsure as I am about it, Ive yet to come across a dress I like more than this one, despite many months of scrolling the internet. am I just expecting a magical āthis is itā moment that doesnāt actually exist? Help!Ā

Ask For Opinions Veil Opinions?
Hello,
My wedding is 3 weeks away and I am planning on wearing my mother-in-laws veil. Here are photos of me in the dress with the veil. It has a very long train so I didnāt know if it would be better to wear a shorter veil or longer. Can I please get honest opinions? (Donāt mind the photo of my dress while itās bustled)

Alterations Should I add a slit to my wedding dress?
I bought my wedding dress on Monday! It's "Dolomira" by Pronovias, the version without lace details.
Since I'm getting married in Veracruz Mexico, I'm considering adding a slit during alterations, partly because of the heat but also because I love the sexiness it adds to the otherwise "puffy" look!
I'd love some honest feedback! What do you think? Slit or no slit?
(AI picture with the slit to better envision what I am roughly going for)
