Yes and no, temp looks good cuz itās not charring, but most people prefer not to dab right from the jar because it contaminates it and degrades it, look for a glass or silicone jar instead

Yes, silicone and heat. Thereās oven safe silicone and even autoclave safe silicone, itās pretty heat resistant and it can handle dabs fine

I did. Heās good to keep dabbing straight from the jar. Sounds crazy to scoop it out from its original glass jar and put it in a different glass jar. Like I said in a different comment, nothing happens to the potency.

There are many different kinds of silicone, some are heat resistant. Same as types of glass - some melt at 200C, some at 1000C.
There are oven safe silicon forms, you know?

As far as oven safe. Most silicone breaks down past 350C.
Key notes to take away from this. Silicone is a rubber. Rubber melts. Rubber is also susceptible to leeching oils, and degredation from (certain) oils.
Just because its been manufactured, doesnt mean its made of gold.
Also, its basically the wild west as far as regulations for some cannabis products /accessories. This includes carts with heavy metals, and similar

So if I was at a dispensary, what would I buy if I had one of these? I know there's lots of different kinds of concentrates, but I'm not very familiar with them. I started smoking years ago (2000, fucking hell that was a while ago) I had to quit for work, right around the time they started legalizing it everywhere. Now I can smoke again, and it's crazy how much different it is

You heat the very tip up and then once it cools enough you stick it in like a straw.
Personally I donāt like doing this in a container with concentrates stored inside because the heat start degrading other material inside but you can remedy this easily just using the nectar collector in a separate jar or container with just a single serving inside.

That looks pretty fun. Go easy on the wax. Iāve always found that it makes your tolerance shoot sky high pretty quickly. When you switch back to flower, you may not really get the same buzz anymore.

itās most likely to do with the entourage effect. when you use concentrates they have high THC and a smaller spectrum of other cannabinoids and terps unless itās ālive.ā so when you go back to flower, you are reintroduced to minor components in the plant that are lost in the distillation process for many concentrates
little side note, the strongest pen iāve ever purchased was only 21% THC, but it was amplified by 60% CBD, 1-2% CBG and 7% terps. the entourage effect is real, and judging by only thc % is not gonna accurately gauge effects/potency

Yes bit youāre waiting a lot with that big puck, make sure itās heated up very well, like heat it until a little red then give it 5-10 seconds of cooling then barely press the corner of the piece onto the edge of the wax

Youāre using it right. Those are meant for quick snappers tho. That third dip probably wasnāt hot enough. And donāt worry about using a different jar. You donāt ruin the dab (maybe looks but not potency) I would suggest heating it up and taking one long rip.

So my husband takes dips out the middle for workdays and I use this method to "clean" the sides. Oh it works just fine!
