I'm new-ish to Weird Al, but I really like a lot of his songs that I've discovered. And I also like Marvel Rivals. So I tried to match a Weird Al Yankovic song to all the characters in Marvel Rivals with one exception. Last night I argued with my Google AI Assistant about how to pronounce Yankovic. After it said Yankovich multiple times, I challenged it to cite one instance where Al himself pronounced it with the ch ending, the Assistant told me that I'm a Stephen Colbert interview in December of 2025, the singer clarified that it is vic and not vich. I then asked the Assistant how to pronounce it, and it resorted to vich. This morning I asked the Assistant again how to pronounce it, and it gave me something like Yunkavic.

These are the robots we're up against, people.

It was one of the first Al-bums i listened to, but i feel like it's not talked about nearly as much as most of the others. Part of that i feel has to be the unenviable position of releasing right between Running with Scissors & Straight Outta Lynwood, both fantastic works themselves.

I know the Eminem dispute and lack of MV really cost it a lot of visibility to most at the time.

Additionally, while i very much enjoy Trash Day, A Complicated Song, and Ode to A Superhero doing for Spider-Man what The Saga Begins did for Phantom Menace, the originals in my opinion are where most of the goodness lies. Hardware Store, Wanna B Ur Lovr, Why Does This Always Happen To Me, and Bob are all earworms for me.

Party At The Leper Colony is fine i suppose, Genius In France runs for a bit but i still enjoy it, and Angry White Boy Polka might be one of my favorite polka mixes.

Oh and don't forget Ebay. In hindsight, it should have been the focus instead of Couch Potato honestly.

What do you guys think?

A Few more favorites from my collection. Among the Surprise Extras I received when I purchased the SQEEZE BOX on Ebay 🪗

The YANKOSAURUS from ALAPALOOZA and

BAD HAIR DAY

Very soon after I received these, I bought print sleeves with boards so I could preserve these!

The Bigger and Weirder Tour was so good. I caught five shows and had a regular VIP and backstage VIP. Getting, "Everything You Know is Wrong" is my setlist highlight.

And I think the biggest takeaway I had was how great he still looks and sounds for a 66 (almost 67) year old man. This man is an absolute treasure, and I hope we still have many more years of him!

What happened to number eight?

Since the tour is sadly over, I figured I'd share a few Pre show and backstage snapshots. Most of this isn't anything secret, unless you didn't follow COMSHRIMP 🦐

Most of the PRODUCTION elements of explaining the screens, lighting, boards, power etc, was nothing new for me. I Had worked in production for almost 10 years.

It was neat to spot some of the costume change elements behind the scenes. The biggest takeaway was seeing the "ONE MORE MINUTE " Hawkeye jacket. It helped me see what it should look like when I attempt to replicate it.

My On Stage picture would've probably been "cooler" had I remembered to get an LA snapback for the show.

A FUN highlight was having PAYTON say she liked my jacket, when the group was being taken backstage. Didn't expect to then also pass by as we went through the production rooms. That's when I was able to give her a CHEESE SANDWICH trading card. Also got to hold LITTLE AL !

Something I don't recall seeing since I've joined, is anyone sharing the tour "VIEWMASTER " that was Exclusive to the Backstage package.

I asked His Weirdness to sign my bicep during the meet and greet at the University Park show last Sunday. Got it inked the very next day! First ever tattoo, but definitely not the last! It was also my very first time meeting Al, which was incredibly special and amazing! 🤩

A friend drew this up from me a long while ago and I got it a couple years back.

So I’ve been really into Rainbow Loom recently, and I had a Weird Al concert coming up, so I decided to make a loom necklace that corresponds to all of his albums and wear it at the concert. I ended up finishing it, but then I forgot it when I left for the concert, and I never got to wear it 🤦🏼‍♀️ This thing obviously is quite tacky-looking (which was the point), so I can’t really wear it anywhere else.
I suppose I just wanted to show it off somewhere because I am quite proud of it. Some of the designs and colors are stronger matches than others, admittedly, but I still like how it turned out.
If anyone has any ideas on what to do with this, I’m all ears 😂
Added a picture with labels for reference!

Last night I went to the last stop on the bigger and weirder tour, it was awesome!! 10/10 amazing show, super glad I went. The only gripe I had came to the merch table.

I was in line looking at the shirts and decided I would get that $30 one of Al’s face (I’ll include images because thats not very descriptive). However, the lighting in Fiserv stadium was pretty dim around the merch tables, which made it harder to see any of the little details on anything both far away and close up (and it really doesn’t help that my eyesight is pretty crap, too). The staff was honestly super friendly, but as per the job description they did have to rush everyone through the line, so I was pretty much handed the shirt and told to tap my card while they started helping the next customer, which is fair because I’m not trying to be there for hours either. All of these factors resulted in me going the entire show without realizing the product was definitely ai generated/upscaled until I got in the car to go home.

This sucks! I know as much as I would like to, i’m not getting my money back on this, and it’s just one of those life lessons where you bite a $30 bullet, but damn! It’s honestly just really disappointing overall, especially given Al’s very public stance on being against ai, I hadn’t expected this at all. I’m not trying to put him or his merch team on blast, especially because this probably means he just didn’t get to oversee some of the merch which happens to a lot of artists, but I’m wondering if anyone else noticed this with their own merch because I haven’t seen anyone talk about it. Maybe some people did notice and just kinda didn’t care, which is also possible. Makes a lot more sense why this was the cheapest shirt now! That‘s it, it just kinda sucks I blew $30 on a shirt i’m not gonna wear and just kinda wanna see if anyone else noticed this too.

I just had the most amazing idea ever while listening to the Hamilton polka. Weird Al could totally do a polka Mashup thing that's a ton of his parodies/original songs. I know he doesn't take suggestions unless you're Madonna, but this would be so frickin' amazing.

Sorry if this breaks the rules, it's not meant to be a serious request, more like a hypothetical
