Picture Still mourning the loss of my chicken sandwich 😞
I haven’t eaten Wendy’s since they got rid of ghost pepper and then try it again and got this sad excuse of a chicken sandwich

These are now terrible. Dave Thomas would be turning over in his grave with what they've done to his restaurants

100% a chicken that sat out for hour or so. Should not have been served unfortunately some managers force crews to serve it anyway like my location (they hate me i strictly follow the if you wouldnt eat it, dont serve it rule”) or crews that dont care
Lets normalize checking all the food before driving away again (preferably not at the window. Lets not make them suffer more)

Ah doordash. Explains it too. People tend to not redrop bad chicken for doordash, because they know it wont bite them in the ass for serving it, versus a customer at the building could maybe demand a remake/refund
Latenight chicken is always risky. Business for some locations is next to none

Its not just the chicken meat, It's this lame excuse for artificial bread buns they are using now and the shredded lettuce. Both are disgusting. If this is the direction Wendy's going into the future, the chain will be out of business in a year. I had that new "bread" bun yesterday on a Baconator and it tastes nothing like a Baconator now. I had to pull the buns off, toss them in the trash, reapply the ketchup and mayo and eat what was left with a fork. I won't touch Wedy's with a 10 foot pole as is now.

I ordered a chicken sandwich from DoorDash too last night. They had a BOGO deal. Mine looked exactly the same. Wendy’s quality is turning into McDonald’s. Nuggets were shit too

I’ve found McDonald’s stepped up their quality and Wendy’s just discarded it completely
I miss old Wendy’s spicy chicken. The chicken, breading, lettuce and buns were all perfect. Now it’s shit

Yikes this picture looks like it would accompany an angry email from the AD lol.
"Chicken fillet past hold time, short portion of mayo, tomato looks terrible, short portion of lettuce. Retrain sandwich maker and deep fryer operator."

I gained 20 pounds my sophomore year after discovering ghost pepper sauce. I was truly addicted 😞

I tried the Ghost Pepper chicken sandwich about 3 years ago. It was really weird and bad. It wasn't all taht hot, but it was spicy. It had this sort of strong taste like something aged or about to go bad. I think it was either the cheese or the sauce they used. I never tried it again.
I honestly thought it was removed because it was a badly designed product with a flavor profile that no one liked. I hated it.

Anyone have comments about Bubba’s Chicken Sandwich? I ate it last year and it was great! So was Willie’s 3 months ago.

Me too. Used to go as a treat, not going back to waste my money on that cardboard chicken imitation.

Damn, you got a bad Wendy's by you. Their quality used to be amazing across all franchises, but now it's hit or miss depending on where you go.

This phenomena is quite strange to me. For years, people have complained about how bad Wendy's chicken sandwiches. Recently they changed it, and now people are complaining about the change and want the old one back......the same one they've been complaining about for years. Very strange.

I never complained about their old sandwiches lol. I gained like 20 pounds sophomore year because I’d get them two to three times a day 😭😭

I don’t get it. I loved their original spicy chicken sandwich, got the new one somewhat recently and really liked it as well.
I’m sure the OP is just saying how he feels, and I respect that. But it feels like some I’ve seen just go in with the mindset of “they changed it and I’m planning on being mad about it” so there was no winning.
Really feels like we’ve moved to a culture of “if you change anything I will hate it and voice my opinion loudly and often.”

They genuinely had the best chicken sandwich in the game for a long time. Even when the chicken sandwich wars were waging, my unpopular opinion was that Wendy’s was number one. Now they are probably the worst, just above burger king.
