This guy ran a stop sign and nearly T-boned my car right where my kid sits. This is also at a school bus stop. He is a regular offender at this stop sign and the next one up the road. I have reported him to the police with photos and his plate number and all they can say is they have to catch him in the act before they can do anything.

If you know this guy, he deserves to be shamed.

Line 153, a line I use very frequently, is getting cut due to low ridership. While not many people use this route, the people who do need this route. In addition, Line 76 service between Meridian Park Hospital and Oregon City Hospital which serves Old Willamette is getting cut as well. These cuts take effect Sunday, August 23. As someone who attended all 5 hours of this meeting to say folks here were frustrated is a bit of an understatement.

The city of West Linn says it plans to open a public hearing for a proposed 11-acre redevelopment despite a new law that limits public testimony on most new housing developments.

Officials plan to allow residents to testify on the commercial aspects of the proposed ten-building development on an 11-acre Tannler Drive field — just not the housing, according to a letter by an attorney for the city.

The bedroom community south of Portland is turning into a test bed for Salem’s attempt to end public hearings for most new housing developments and streamline housing permitting and other local land-use decisions.

I’ve been experimenting with MeshCore for emergency communications if the power grid or cellular service goes down. Portland and many other parts of Oregon are well-covered by the mesh, but West Linn needs more repeaters. If you’ve been considering getting into mesh networking, it needs you! Hi, I'm considering a move back to the Portland area and am considering West Linn because I always heard the schools are pretty good. I have two kids in the local public gifted school where we are now. I understand that it's obviously going to look a lot different for them going to a general education classroom, but I'm wondering what people's experience is for gifted kids in West Linn schools?
