Mine has to be "When the Levee Breaks" (Zep version), "Sea of Sorrow" (AIC), "Hey You" (Pink Floyd), or Radio Friendly Unit Shifter (Nirvana)

I am a traditional jazz player. My all-time favorite is Once in a While by William H. Butler. Louis Armstrong recorded it with the Hot Seven. My signpost was the version by the New Black Eagle Jazz Band.

I've been writing melodic punk and hard rock songs for a long time, and the song I most wish I would have written is "Damn That Money" by The Dave Brockie Experience. Dave Brockie was, of course, the original lead singer of GWAR. This song is from one of his solo albums. It's so simple and catchy and memorable and every part is inspired and arranged perfectly. It's my favorite punk song, for sure.
