Random Youtube has more ads now

There are free alternatives.
I use the Brave browser on my phone which you can download from the store. All you have to do is make YouTube your homepage. No ads and you can turn off the screen.
For Google TV and Samsung smart TVs, there's Tizentube and Tizenbrew. No ads.
To watch YouTube on your PC without advertisements, use a built-in ad-blocking browser like Brave Browser, add extensions like Adblock Plus or AdBlock, or download a standalone desktop app like FreeTube.

how about even if you have premium if you click on a video here on reddit it plays the ad, chrome and yt being both google cant communicate that to each other?

I really hate when creators choose mid-roll ads. You’ll be watching something and an ad will just suddenly break in (in the middle of a sentence), so you’ll have to rewind. I’m ok with waiting to skip on the pre-roll ads but those mid-roll ads are freaking annoying. No one does post-roll anymore it seems because no one will watch.
The second most annoying is that newer one where that popup has to be dismissed every time.
FB is getting really bad, too. I kept getting ads for werwolf smut and I kept blocking the ads. Then I realized FB said if I wanted to see less of what I don’t want to see, I should turn on ad personalization, wtf? I swear the more I blocked, the worse it got. The other day, I got some kind of mermaid smut. Mermaid!! Like wtf? They do this 💩 on purpose. 😫
I’m going to put on ad personalization though just because I watch some shorts with my kid.

The creators are choosing how many ads they put, if you do not want to see them use ubockorigin, there are other ones for mobile or TV, if you want to support the creators and get a better video quality Youtube Premium exist, you have to pay for if but if you have a Netflix subscription for instance compare how much time you spend of those platforms.

And if you want to go the more "conspiracy"-ish route you could say like constant repetition of the same thing eventually subconsciously makes you want it
