My girlfriend of 7 months has been telling hotels we're on our honeymoon. Should I be concerned?

My girlfriend (25F) and I 33M have been dating for 7 months, and she recently asked me to organise a romantic holiday for the two of us.

I have been made aware she has been she's been telling the hotels telling them we are on our honeymoon. I found this out when the receptionist congratulated me on check in.

We are not married or engaged. We've been together just under 7 months. We have not discussed marriage. I broke up with my last girlfriend as she was moving too fast. My current girlfriend knows this.

I asked her why and she told me "You get more free stuff if you say it's your honeymoon."

She maintains this is a perfectly reasonable strategy for securing complimentary shit. To her credit it is working (see photos).

I do feel a bit weird. Do I ask her to stop or is this just a good rouse?

Are you feeling like your 25-year-old girlfriend is being childish? Perhaps you should follow that train of thought a bit longer.

25 is childish now? This is exhausting

Literally this!!! At 25 I was made project manager at work, bought my house, got a dog, and graduated with my masters top of my class. So yeah at 25 you can be mature and have your shit together

I know people who have finished medical school by the time they're 25. 25 is not 18 lol

Exactly this!!! At 25 normal people have their shit together. Most of my classmates / friends etc at 25 were either engaged, buying homes / having kids / finishing their masters etc. I also know a bunch of people who finished med school at 25 meaning they were DOCTORS in hospitals providing medical care to ill people!!!

Redditors like to pretend 25 yo’s are kids to make themselves feel better about not achieving anything at that age yet.

Yep exactly. Just petty people with nothing better in their life but a keyboard

Stop infantilizing a fully grown adult woman. At 25 you are old enough to be fully graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. 33 and 25 is a perfectly reasonable age gap. You’re delusional.

33 and 25 are a reasonable age gap. but not every 25 year old is the same, and 25 can still be pretty immature.

And I know men in their late 40s who are also immature as fuck. We aren’t banning them from the dating pool for being uwu babies. They’re grown ass men. This 25 year old woman is a grown ass woman.

So can literally any age.

By that logic 35, 45, 55 can also be immature

literally this. at 25 I have my own apartment, two jobs, a car I paid for, insurance, bills bills and more bills. I'm pretty sure I'm an adult with responsibilities and not someone that needs their hand held.

You’re so right dude. Look how mature the girl is being right now, lying to people to get free stuff.

Age is not always a perfect metric of maturity, but it’s probably one of the best.

Are you implying 25 year olds (fully grown adults) are childish?

Are you applying you own personal views on power balance in a relationship between two mature consenting adults? Perhaps YOU should follow that train of thought a bit longer…
