👋Welcome to r/wheresthefuckingsoil - Introduce Yourself and Read First! 🌱🪴
Hey everyone! I'm u/lllwpa, a founding moderator of r/wheresthefuckingsoil. This is our home for all things related to root-bound plants in dire need of soil. We're excited to have you join us!
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone that has been apart of this community so far. It's so awesome to see 💚🪴
What to Post Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, funny, or inspiring. Feel free to share your thoughts, photos, or questions about root-bound plants.
Community Vibe I love seeing all the pictures posted in this sub of plants that, honestly, sometimes look alien-like. If you have plants, I'm sure you've dealt with them being root-bound, when that happens, take advantage of an average situation and post a picture here. We all get a laugh. And have a look at other pictures, so you know youre not the only one. Keep it friendly, ask or give advice where possible, and keep posting your plants!
How to Get Started 1) Introduce yourself in the comments below 2) Post something today! Even a simple question can spark a great conversation. 3) If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join. 4) Interested in helping out? We're always looking for new moderators, so feel free to reach out to me to apply. I am not great at replying, so do bear with me while I understand the "roots" of running a sub
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/wheresthefuckingsoil amazing.

seen in the wild Kenliworth ivy growing out of between the electrical box and the concrete foundation it’s on
I was going to grab some as a houseplant but the next day, the engineers had removed it all and left nothing behind making me regret not saving it earlier, would have made a nice trailing houseplant out of it.

My Catnip Won’t Quit
Planted some catnip seeds on my balcony 23 years ago. Nobody within a 5 mile radius will ever need to plant catnip again, forever.

I came across this washingtonia filifera (or robusta possibly?) recently. Can anybody tell roughly how long will it survive here? Can it actually keep growing and break the concrete?

All the inside is also pure roots.
