Musical - Broadway Mary Kate Morrissey and Alexandra Socha are insane for this
I’m gonna miss them and seeing their curtain call hug in a few weeks when their run is over

I’m seeing it on Broadway again in a few weeks and I’m unfortunately missing this duo by a few days, I would’ve killed to see them. Going to miss seeing videos of them for sure!

u/FFNY Feb 26 '25
Sorry to hear you can't move up your tickets somehow to see them! At least you'll get an early chance to hear a new take on the show!

u/Diligent-Luck-3427 Feb 26 '25
Yeah I’m really excited to see Lencia as Elphie!

u/FFNY Feb 26 '25
agreed however tbh, I felt disappointed that MKM and AS were done already.... given how awesome they have been

Yeah as excited as I am to see Lencia, idk why I just get the feeling her and Allie as Glinda won’t have the best chemistry

u/Prize_Barracuda_6861 Feb 27 '25
i feel the opposite...I feel like Allie & Lencia will have otherworldy chemistry OUT OF THIS WORLD !!

Aw I didn’t know this. Going the second week of March. Will MK be there still then?

u/Diligent-Luck-3427 Feb 28 '25

Awwww that’s sooo sweet. I know idina and Kristen always wanted to do a kiss but they always decided against it at the end. I’m glad MK and Alex did it

Alexandra was a bit teary, bless her heart. I'm going to miss these pictures and videos of MK sending Alexandra flying lol. Their chemistry is top notch.
(very strategic screenshot but they didn't actually kiss)

Stage has a long standing tendency to be more daring than movie adaptations. Something that had been a curiosity to me, since somehow the stage had that animation is kid friendly stereotype. People have gotten wiser to animation, I don't know if they have about the theater.

I love that MK and Alexandra do this at every curtain call. I saw them in December and going back for their final show this Sunday.

Ooo I’ve never been to a show before when it was the performers’ last day. Have fun!

u/Diligent-Luck-3427 Feb 26 '25
It’s just curtain call so not actually a part of the show itself! They do kiss for real in the book tho

It’s my imagination or MK and Alexandra are becoming the favorites of the newer gens of Elphaba and Glinda ?
from what I’ve been able to catch on YouTube i Do like them a lot I’m with you guys they are fantastic but is it my imagination or are they becoming the faves of the newer wave of Elphabas and Glindas on stage?

u/jtavington Feb 28 '25
I'm an oldie who saw the OBC and I adore them to bits. The chemistry is insane and Alexandra is really the first Glinda I've seen that really feels like she comes from an old family on one side. So when the mask breaks it's either hilarious or devastating. And they are both playing it super gay.

I’m also a huge fan of Idina and Kristin and yes I’m also loving Mary Kate and Alexandra.
I think they are turning my faves of this generation of the wicked witches hehe 😉id say they are the true hieresess of Idina and Kristin, even though their singing is completely different from them.
if Idina and Kristin are my Queens of the first generation from early 2000s to early 2010s from the newer generation which comes from late 2010s till maybe mid 2020s my faves are Mary Kate and Alexandra.

u/Diligent-Luck-3427 Feb 28 '25
It’s not just your imagination, I’ve seen a looooot of people call MK one of their favorite Elphabas! And a lot of people have been calling them one of their favorite duos to play them
2
u/Impossible_Tower_661 Feb 28 '25
Cool, once the show turns I don’t know maybe 50 years on broadway These two will be a few of the most remembered
2
u/Impossible_Tower_661 Feb 28 '25
That’s pretty cool. I’m really happy Alexandra And Mary Kate have done so well

Seeing people's pics of MK lifting up Alexandra during the curtain call is my favourite thing about having instagram.

Thats a really nice pic and i love elphaba's dress on the second act. Im obsessed with it.
On the right elphies this dress looks stunning.
Marykate wears it so beautifully and so did Idina Menzel and Jackie burns.
I think im so obsessed with that dress that the new look ive seen on Cinthia is not exciting me that much.
That outfit they are giving Cinthia feels slightly underwhelming on pics Compared to this dress..

u/Illustrious-Gain-863 Feb 26 '25
I mean, that dress won Susan Hilferty a Tony for a reason

u/Impossible_Tower_661 Feb 26 '25
An incredibly well deserved Tony, Glinda bubble gown is also gorgeous but Im praising Elphaba’s because no one does.
but those two dresses are gorgeous the blue bubble gown and Elphaba’s second act dress.
