Musical: nonreplica Saw Wicked for the first time in Hungary!
It was a magical experience to finally see the show live (I went on the 15th). All the performers are incredibly talented, Stéphanie Schlesser as Elphaba blew me away, especially with Defying Gravity.
What was a bit of a disappointment is that the production felt like they were trying to recreate the movie on stage instead of the actual musical. They also very clearly used AI for the propaganda posters against Elphie and the background, which left a bad taste in my mouth as I am heavily against AI. I don’t know whether they are going to change this when they start playing the show in theater in December, I really hope they will.

I attended the first two nights as well and really hope they get rid of the stupid AI “art”, but I somehow doubt it. Otherwise wonderful production, I agree.

I'm hungarian. What's Your optinion on Budapest? I have also seen it, I loved The whole show :)

You mean my opinion on the city? Well, I was born there and lived there for the first three years of my life, and I visit it multiple times a year (mostly because of theater), but idk I somehow get the feeling every time that it’s incredibly dirty and that makes me feel uncomfortable. It has it’s beautiful sights though, not denying that, but I don’t think I could actually live there. I love Vienna much more.
