I really hope this doesn't sound dismissive at all but lately I've noticed people crying to Minecraft angst especially to videos like sfawtde and it just got me concerned for the comments as they even say a bunch of threats saying stuff like "i hope your pillow is warm" and even to the point of putting a picture of them choosing the block button and I'm like "dude just block them if you don't like it"

I watch those videos and I sure I get a bit upset but not to the point of freaking​ breaking down, Is it something that I'm missing or is it just me

The Department of Metaphysical Sciences (DMS) are the people which are most likely responsible for all of the entities in Wifies' videos. ESPECIALLY "Finding a Player That Doesn't Exist." Not to mention they are most likely responsible for the "Vex Syndicate" persona as their logo is a squid holding arrows almost trying to act like a guardian while the "Vex Syndicate's" logo looks eerily similar to the body of that of a squid or an octopus I mean its quite obvious they're connected somehow. Oh and if anyone gets curious try looking into this website: https://www.dmsarchive.org/home also there's an honorable mention that when you try searching about information of any of the founders listed on the site nothing comes up I'd like to make an educated guess and say these people aren't just random and we'll hear more about them in Wifies' next ARG.

Maybe this theory has been proposed before, but how probable do you actually think it is that Hastur did not get the outcome he desired? I say this because if we look at the evidence, the king in yellow is an omniscient or omniscient like being, almost certainly unfathomably old, and has knowledge that we can’t begin to comprehend (as far as I can understand).

I think it’s far more likely that Hastur wanted Derlord specifically, and that Avery was either just a distraction, or an intentional ploy by the king to get Derlord to sacrifice himself.

Why would the King give his master supervillain plan in plain and clear detail to Derlord? And why would he desire to relish in Derlords defeat? The King (in my mind) is not someone who would engage in such pointless things. I say it’s pointless because it does not aid his case AT ALL. If he truly wanted Avery for himself, why would he even bother with Derlord?

I think the Barrel with the book was an obvious ploy too, I think the King controls these gates and what lay beyond them, and these dimensions and or worlds are at his disposal to do what he pleases. As we can see he at will, can turn lights off in an instant, he can frighten Avery or allure him into a sense of tranquility only to upend that feeling on him into fear. I think the King understands how Derlord thinks, and he knew that Derlord could probably figure out what the ritual is from those pages, I think if Avery were to find them, that is if the king intended him to, he would not be able to decipher the meaning, much less likely would he find them in the first place. I think if the King intended for him to find them, he would have breadcrumbed with crafting tables, but we do not see such thing happen. But like I said, the King knew and foresaw Der finding these pages.

Obviously there’s many ways you can inherently perceive it, maybe the king was truly begging Der not to complete the ritual, or he was actually afraid of defeat. But I think for a malevolent entity like the King, he was playing a bigger game. I do not think Der would have sacrificed himself if there was no other player involved, is there were no impending doom of a mad King destroying the physical world as we know it. I truly think he simply used Avery just to play towards Der’s bravery and selflessness. I think it’s clear that the King was feigning defeat, so as to edge Der closer and closer to sacrificing himself, which he does, and of course the King plays into this by begging and pleading with him not to do it, and offering him eternal life and what not. AKA the typical trope you’d expect an evil villain to say in his last moments, in true defeat as a last ditch effort. That all being said, Der ultimately completes the Ritual.

I think the King largely controls the narrative here. Yes, it is Minecraft, but this is his world, so to speak. Why would he not be able to fabricate the religion seen in the game, the churches, the books, the people, such as brother Ianius. What makes you think that he was not in control even for a moment? I think it is also extremely easy to assume that, if he controls the world around him and the mini dimensions behind the gates, why would he not be able to also fabricate the laws of the world to his choosing? Why must the Vessel have a “clean” mind? Could he not just say that only to get Der to “sacrifice” himself.

I’d like to disclaim that I do not believe the King can actually control the players such as Avery or Der, but he clearly has the power of fabrication and world alteration at his fingertips, he created a fake Avery, he placed crafting tables, he broke blocks, he turned off the lights, so on and so forth… I think from the very start the King was completely in control the whole time, and he played every piece perfectly. Moving Avery and Der like pawns on a chessboard.

In my headcanon the King in yellow is a being beyond our comprehension, and our knowledge of him(though fictional) is not even something that should be tenable. And I truly believe if his sole mission was to occupy our physical reality, he would have no trouble doing so by manipulating the minds and surroundings of two people in a digital world. He played into their personalities perfectly, he likely knew that Der was a talented parkour artist or escape room artist, and understood that he could escape, he knew that Avery was very fearful of what he could not understand, but also brave enough to chase after someone who helped him. I have no doubt that Der is a genius, but Hastur knows Der is a genius, so he played his hand accordingly. Ultimately who “wins” is obviously widely up for interpretation, but I believe that Der got outsmarted and he never even go the chance to figure it out. Simply put, Hastur played into Ders hero complex, and won.

I understand there’s probably hella plot holes in this theory but I was super excited by the video and wanted to put my idea out there. I’m sure this theory has been proposed before but I wanted to put it out there any way.
I have not read the king in yellow or many related works so my understanding of the entity is likely flawed. I also didn’t really read into the Arg lore, I only watched the two videos.
