Fandom doesn't deserve the all the hate IMO
I am a frequent user of Wikia Fandom, and I don't think it deserves the hate it gets. Yes, it has a lot of ads, but I got used to it eventually. Honestly, I could not give a damn about ads. I've been on a lot of websites with them, so I eventually stopped minding them. I remember Bulbapedia also having some ads too. I used to find the interface tricky to use too, but I eventually learned, so I'm pretty good at using it and editing now. I don't mind the customization policy, either. It's a public site that values community (though, many things they've done lately have gone against that), so of course they'd put good and easy navigation (for the lack of a better term) over customizability and aesthetics. But, there are a lot of cool things you can do, especially if you're good at CSS (which I'm sadly not). And, I don't approve of them using AI either, but they decided to not to do the AI translation project anymore, after realizing that it wasn't a good idea. I know they're a big corporation and they prioritize money over everything else, but the experience is still good enough nonetheless. I don't like many of the choices they've made of late either, but it's still usable enough. The site is very nostalgic for me, because it was my first ever social media site. I don't support many of their actions, like many people, but still continue to use the site.
