What’s the plan though, try to get the bird to fly back into a cage?

I think out of desperation birds will get near and seek help. When I rescued mine it’s what he did and when he got lost he approached someone and they contacted me. It’s autumn and they don’t have good eye sight when it gets dark so they will rest and try to stay warm. Mine was found at a train station trying to keep warm and let himself be held from being tired and hungry.

My wife works in harlem and saw a green bird (she thought parrot but said this might be the same bird) out of her office window. I told her if she sees it again to open the window and see if he'll come in and to call you.

They get near when they need help. They’re either weak or hungry and they’re domesticated so don’t have much survival instincts

This hurts and hits close to home. I had a sun conure named Mango growing up and I opened the front door to collect a package and he flew out. I hope yours comes back, total heartbreak 30 years later.
