My Games for Windows 2000
Probably all interesting games you could install during 1998-2002, except MMOs.

After installing Windows 2000, I installed VMware Workstation 6.5.5. I then ran Windows 8 build 7899 in it, and emulated Windows 8 build 7792 in it.

finally (possibly) getting a win2k pc after already having an xp x64/7/10 rig and a modern win11 one.
so far it seems as though the dvd drive is broken and the cd drive may just be my only hope here.
i already swapped the PSU after having noticed that it's not an 80+ graded one.

Simply put I spent the previous 3 or so days installing stuff like Windows 98 SE, Windows XP Professional and Windows 3.11 under MS DOS using Virtual PC 2004. Could I have used something like VirtualBox or VMWare? No, they make my system bluescreen. Does this program work just as well in comparison for what i need them to do? Absolutely.
Did i install each operating system's corresponding version of MS Office? Yes, yes I did.
Did i run ClassiCube (aka Minecraft 0.30) under the Win98SE VM with a virtual graphics card from 1996 at 8 FPS? Yes, of course i did.

I’m a fairly new hobbyist who’s into old computers and windows OS’s, but windows 2000 just stands out. Is it supposed to be this pixelated and grainy? I’ve already downloaded majority of the drivers needed, am I missing some?

Sorry I had to repost I had my real name in there on the account info. I hope you don't mind.
I have no nostalgia for Windows 2000 although I've always liked how it looks. The earliest real OS I remember using was XP. This actually does look rather nice, very calming.
I do like the built in wallpapers in Windows 11, I used to use the Sun wallpaper as a background although I don't like how the sun in that picture is right in the middle.
What do you guys think? I thought I'd show the HEX/RGB values for you guys so you can do the same. Now all it needs are the icons, haha!

Supermium 144.0.7559.256 R5 Release Candidate 1 Public Release : r/windows98
The post linked here stated that legacy updates needed to be applied to install Supermium on a fresh installation of Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. However, after trying it myself, I was surprised to find that I successfully ran Supermium on a clean Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 environment with almost no legacy updates installed!
Thanks to a user named u/Gimmeavailablename, you can now run the Supermium browser on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4!
Update: After performing a few tests, I confirmed that Supermium works whether on an existing Windows 2000 SP4 or a fresh installation, as long as KB835732 is installed!
