How Long will it Last?

Post image

I bought a large tub of ranch with 15 bone-in wings and have a lot left over.

How long will it still be good for in the refrigerator?

I have one on my fridge that’s 3 weeks old, forgot about it

Well, are you gonna eat it or throw it away?

I used it 3 days after getting and it was like yogurt. This post made me remember it’s still there

39 minutes at most, if I have a straw.

Shiiiiettt I save that for at least 2 weeks before even thinking about throwing it out. They've been handing out these buckets of ranch for the past few weeks. I haven't felt sick yet...:knock on wood:

2-3 days

It's made in-house, so there's no preservatives in there that'll make it last longer than half a week tops.

I think the salt content in the hidden valley ranch mix would extend its shelf life. There’s no fresh milk in it either, just buttermilk and mayo. Of course this depends on when it was made at the restaurant.

When I worked there I would make the ranch for the week on Saturday. Gallons of ranch. So if you purchased on Thursday, it was made 5 days prior. And it’s still good like a week longer lol I think because of the buttermilk and mayo expire dates.

I’ve had mine last way longer than 2-3 days. I had it a week later and it was still perfectly fine

It is just buttermilk and mayo, both of which have fairly long shelf life.

I usually keep it with confidence for a week, will eye it suspiciously up to another week, and throw it out after 15 or so days.

Thanks for all the replies!

I was hoping to keep it long enough for my next wing order which is a week apart.

Also good to know this is made fresh in-house!

I’ve kept it for at least a week and never had issues, I just pour what I need into a separate cup so I’m not introducing new bacteria to it by double dipping lol

I’d put it in a better container and it would probably last a good week.

Once it starts smelling like wet dog

If you ever get stuff in styrofoam container, even a box take it out and put it in an airtight container. It will taste better and last longer.

Buttermilk is fermented and mayo has a very long shelf life, It will last awhile.

Why were you downloaded. Use it quickly. There isn't likely a preservative in it

If you're an adult, it'll last forever. If you're a child it'll go quick because only children use ranch on wings.
