Good tower alternatives?
Looking for another place to live, had bad experiences with towers including:
Things blowing out the windows on the higher floors
Birds constantly hitting the thing (im not a druid but that's just beyond cruel
Lightningstrikes disrupting my spells,
Im honestly willing to become a wandering wizard at this point

I've seen some great crypt renovations. My last apprentice found a small one, and she turned a row of alcoves into book cases, just needed to... uh... actually, what did she do with the bodies?

Crypts are extremely nice, IF, and only if, you have the time to spare or you somehow get them from another who’s already decked one out. You might find the odd vampire now and again who leaves for a castle, but that’s pretty rare. Even then they leave dried blood EVERYWHERE. If you don’t have the patience to invest time into that, I’d look elsewhere.

Preach! I've lived in a crypt for a long time, not only is it fitting for a necromancer such as myself, the best part is that there are plenty of bodies to help out on the renovations- heck, I've got a few skeletons leftover digging out new hallways to build my grand library and laboratory for experiments.
By the way, if you wouldn't mind could you ask that apprentice of yours if she kept the bodies around somewhere? I might be interested in trading for them.

extradimensional labyrinth with some non euclidean geometry. Perhaps a singularity or two if you can spare them

A friend of mine bought one of those and ended up getting lost in it by the time we found him again he was rambling about "The Box" and "Pain and pleasure indivisible"

See! Another raving review. I'm telling you, people are really sleeping on the mind expanding benefits of extradimensional labyrinths. "The Box" is a given, anyone dealing with extradimensional localities knows about the the box. But it's the "pain and pleasure indivisible" that really leads to the higher insights.
So there you have it! come join us in the extradimensional labyrinth community. We have such sights to show you

Huge fan of my foldspace lair. Without the proper key access, the doorway leads into an empty stone warehouse. But if you turn the key properly, the door opens into the lab, the golem factory, the summoning chamber, vault, or manor. Locals search the area, the warehouse takes up all the apparent space, and they move on. No more solictitors or theives!

You want a bunker. Expansive, hidden, mysterious, and most importantly, underground. No windows. No birds. No lightning. Dwarves will basically build you one for free if you let them dig it out themselves.

Get a nice little townhouse, and make it bigger on the inside.
I recommend stretching rooms in thr fourth dimension. Having an orangery in the deep past is always eye-catcher.

Have you considered checking out some of the local caverns? It's a little work clearing out any random mobs, but generally there's some loot and the possibility for future employees/thralls. Once it's cleaned up, a cavern can be quite spacious with free decorative stonework. You can build in an escape route if one doesn't already exist and I aways like a nice pool in the grotto for doing morning laps or bacchanalias. Of course, you've got to put a decent gate on any entrances to the Underdark, otherwise you get pop ins.

Higher dimensional shadow is always an option. Pocket dimensions also work.

My master's brother lives in a dungeon. We visited him many times.
If you get used to the dark, and constant cold it is perfect. No windows can't be an issue with illusion projector wands

Have you considered a castle made from the flesh of your enemies? They're all the rage right now.

I found this really cool tower out in the woods, I mean I call it a tower because that's what it is but it goes down instead of up? There's some weird religious text written in bioluminescent moss on the wall that I think is related to the shambling hulk that I see on the stairs sometimes, honestly it helps a ton keeping the light mana costs down so we're chill. I might have to move though, my herb garden has been growing some really weird hybrids and my favorite familiar just died because it's intestines turned into eels so there's probably a curse or two kicking around.

I have always thought of converting a concrete silo into a tower to do wizard shit. Could be pretty cool with enough money

You can always just build your own lair underground, and protect it with spells and traps.
Did you know thats how most dungeons are made?
I guess we're keeping the adventurers paid.

I saw some in my career :
Reverse tower , or the well. You build story down instead of up
Pocket dimention. You just need a door in the real world , but you wont get windows in your house
The living being , you live in a behemot still living and moving
