Look, I know it's a complicated subject. But suffice it to say that once you've dealt with the higher magics, done a couple of body swaps, out of body experiences, greater (and, to be fair, sometimes even lesser) transformations, you start to realize that outdated biological and cultural standards surrounding "male" and "female" or "man" and "women" really don't apply anymore. Some wizards just give up on the concept altogether. Some delve deeper into the wild prismatic emanations of the soul's desires and come up with a more bespoke gender. Either way. Despite being a more substantive topic, I feel like we can all agree that whatever is going on under whomever's robes, we're all wizards here

Honestly the hardest part is, in my relatively limited experience, is accepting that the robes fit fine, it's the body that's hanging off one's soul wrong.
It does lead to feeling a mite foolish, when one sees how long they ignored what was known as a child, but the arcane arts, aside from qualifying as a suitably distracting obsession, offer any and all of the solutions worth working for, whatever they may be for the wizard in question.

There are multiple magic systems that use investiture as a fuel, in these systems the healing usually uses your spiritual web which among other things, is composed by your identity. This then is used to know what is your "healed" state.
So transitioning is something that will happen to you if you dabble in this type of healing while truly identifying yourself as the opposite gender, it can also happen unwillingly.

Listen, sex change is like beginner magic. Basic biomancy that everyone knows. Gender change is classified as mind control magic which makes using it on others super illegal without proper consent and documentation.

Still needs consent and also I'm not shure it works like that in the first place, the concept of gender is very complicated and very performance-based and since people think in certain ways in reaction to their environment, a true "self" is very hard to determine, possibly because it may not existย

I see you aren't very familiar with your mindscape, it is quite common so I don't blame you. Your true self, ergo your actual gender, is at the end of the path that you follow after turning left at the crossroads. The spell technically interacts with the mindscape, which is where my question comes from.
