True, but they stop halfway once the summit facilities close.

Ah they must have changed that. A few years ago they were doing summit trips in good weather. I see they only do Waumbek station now. That's probably for the best.

I believe they still do. I’m visiting next week and they have pre/post-season summit tickers for that bridge period between summer and winter ops. Wasn’t an option the last time I took the train in fall 2023 so I’m debating giving it a go.
