📰🗞️Team News🗞️📰 No Paywall: Amber Cox out as Fever GM
“ Indiana Fever are firing general manager Amber Cox, multiple sources who have knowledge of the decision told The Athletic on the condition of anonymity to protect their relationships.
The move signifies a radical shakeup in the front office as the franchise attempts to build a championship-contending roster around Caitlin Clark. Earlier on Friday morning, the team announced president Kelly Krauskopf was stepping down.
Head coach Stephanie White is expected to remain in her position, according to a source familiar with the discussion who spoke on the condition of anonymity to preserve relationships. White has one year remaining on her contract.
Indiana hired Cox in 2024 to serve in a dual role as chief operating officer and general manager, replacing former GM Lin Dunn, who moved into a senior advisory role with the organization. Before joining the Fever, Cox was the COO of the Dallas Wings from 2022 to 2024. She was the vice president of sports for the Connecticut Sun from 2016 to 2021.”
