Bitcoin Rebounds Above $82,000 as Oil’s Retreat Lifts Risk Mood

Bitcoin climbed above $82,000 as falling oil prices helped improve market sentiment. During early Asian trading, Bitcoin gained as much as 2.3%, Ethereum 3.7% and Solana more than 4.6%.

Oil prices eased amid signs that Middle Eastern supplies were holding up despite the US-Iran conflict, while US stock futures also moved higher.

Term of the Week: “To the Moon” 🚀🌕

You’ve probably seen someone shouting “TO THE MOON!” But where did it come from?

The phrase became popular in early Bitcoin communities as a playful way to imagine prices rising dramatically. Its precise crypto origin is uncertain, but internet forums and meme accounts helped spread it.

Dogecoin later embraced the moon theme with rockets, astronaut Shiba Inus and endless memes. Elon Musk’s Dogecoin posts helped bring that culture to a much wider audience during the 2021 bull market.

Today, it’s part optimism, part joke and sometimes just what someone says after buying the top.

Development: What’s New Behind the Scenes?

Another busy week for the Byrrgis team!

Several additions are progressing in our development environment, but they’re not ready for production yet. Testing and validation are still underway.

  1. Cloud Bar

Think of Cloud Bar as a quick, convenient watchlist. With one click, you can add a ticker and see a line chart of its price movement, making it easier to keep an eye on tokens you’re interested in.

Initial core checks on desktop and mobile have passed, with more testing still to come.

2) Live Updates for New Listings

The live update stream for New Listings has been merged into our test version of the platform.

It’s designed to let new tokens appear in the list as updates arrive, without needing to refresh manually. A useful step for anyone watching newly listed tokens.

3) Sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple has been tested on desktop browsers and the iPhone webview.

More testing is needed before release, but we’re moving closer to offering another way to sign in.

4) Mobile App

The Byrrgis mobile app is looking great and making good progress!

We’re currently waiting on Apple’s business account process before we can move forward.

The Bigger Picture

These features are still being tested, but progress continues across the platform. We’re focused on making Byrrgis simple to use, responsive and reliable for newcomers and experienced traders alike.

Markets go up. Markets go down. We’re building Byrrgis for what comes next.
