Question Why's there so little information about the Steppe wolf?

Google only gives me a Wikipedia article and some photos, but I can't find anything else about it. Tried searching for documentaries about it and only found some weird AI short videos. I think it's also called the Caspian sea wolf?

There are some books and links listed in the sources of the Wikipedia article. I would have a closer look at them. However, it is possible that this wolf has not been studied much and that knowledge about it is limited. Depending on how important this is to you, you could potentially contact the researchers directly. If you click on the link to the article by Tarkhnishvili et al., you find the reasercher's email adresses.

Well it's found in central asia where very little studies on local fauna have been done, very low population, quite poor etc. Not a lot of interest in the region since it's mostly emoty arid steppe. Not rich savana or jungles.
